This guide will show you where to find all data logs in Roboquest. Documentation of all Data Log locations.
Introduction
Most of the information you need is up high. Here are some ways to get there:
- Rocket Pants triple jump
- Jetpack
- Pogostick
- Grappling Hook
- Rocket jumping with the Commando’s Rocket ability
- Rocket jumping with an explosive weapon
If a data log needs you to jump high, it’s marked as needing a “Jump Upgrade.”
Some logs need a shovel. Find them by using the Metal Detector gadget after unlocking it. These spots might be tricky to spot and can even hide in walls. Save these for later.
A few data logs are in random places across saves. They’ll be in a general area, as explained in the guide.
Lastly, the last data log needs all six power crystals.
Canyons
Data Log 1: 1969 – The Historic Footsteps

- Location: Inside a radio antenna in the starting room.
Data Log 42: 2736 – The Punisher
- Requirements: Jump Upgrade

- Location: Above the starting door.
Data Log 43: 2744 – An Unexpected Buddy

- Location: On the upper level, somewhere near a camp on the level.
Data Log 26: 2590 – Friendly Letter

- Location: Before the mid safe room, jump up to find Buddybot’s campsite.
Data Log 3: 2020 – Climate Emergency
- Requirements: None
- Random: No
- Location: Before entering the Oasis, check a radio antenna.
Data Log 44: 2744 – Good Old Days
- Requirements: Ruins Key
- Random: No
- Location: After entering the Ruins route, on a cliff behind you. Jump from metal platforms on canyon walls.
Data Log 40: 2711 – The Builder
- Requirements: Quarry Key, Jump Upgrade
- Random: No
- Location: Before the dig site door, jump to the upper area. Look for an opening on the right side with a hidden data log.
Data Log 22: 2450 – Kicked Out
- Requirements: Shovel
- Random: Yes
- Location: A random dig site will have a data log.
Oasis
Data Log 27: 2605 – Spring Break
- Requirements: Buddybot
- Random: No
- Location: Inside a locked room behind the waterfall. Equip Buddybot to open the door.
Data Log 45: 2744 – An X Marks the Spot
- Requirements: Jump Upgrade
- Random: Yes
- Location: In the first main area before the mid safe area, look for a small camp on a ledge. Visible from the ground, it requires a jump to reach.
Data Log 41: 2722 – A Slice of Paradise
- Requirements: Jump Upgrade
- Random: No
- Location: In the back of the secret area where Johnny Waterfall is found, on a high ledge. Reach it, even with an explosive weapon, by getting close enough to the edge.
Data Log 25: 2583 – A Helping Hand
- Requirements: None
- Random: No
- Location: Tucked into a corner of the mid safe room.
Data Log 12: 2135 – The Oracle
- Requirements: None

- Location: Right before the mid safe room, inside an antenna.
Data Log 9: 2125 – We Got This

- Location: Randomly placed, dig it up when you find it.
Ruins
Data Log 46: 2745 – Security System

Data Log 7: 2121 – The Last Resort

- Location: In the room before the final boss.
Data Log 11: 2129 – The Guardian Protocol

- Location: After entering the mid safe area, find a locked door. The key is in Aqua Gardens. Inside the room, a hole contains the data log.
