Quest Title: Genmire – A Message from the End

Location: Huxley, Darkened Crypt I Starting Area

Quest Description:

In the wake of a grim situation where most of my companions have met their demise, Huxley, the individual who led our expedition, has instructed me to return to town. His guidance was clear: I should follow the torch-lit path out of the crypt. Once outside, I am to cross the bridge and proceed along the route leading back to Genmire.

Walkthrough:

It is advisable to follow the tutorial prompts provided during your initial steps in the game. While in this area, take note of the presence of several valuable Skill Gems that you should acquire before proceeding. Additionally, don’t forget to equip the lantern from your inventory; you can activate it using the default key, which is ‘C’.

After successfully navigating a daring jump across the damaged steps, make your way towards the North door. Upon entering, you will find yourself in a room that features an interactive campfire. This campfire serves as a valuable resource for crafting basic tools and weapons. In the same room, there are vines that you can utilize for climbing. Take advantage of this opportunity by jumping onto the vines to ascend further in your adventure.

In this particular area, be sure to keep an eye out for a valuable Mending skill gem placed on a pedestal. This gem can prove to be a valuable asset in your journey, so make sure to acquire it.

Proceed out of the room, and to your right, you will encounter a ladder. Ascend it and secure the chest situated in the corner.

Feel free to explore the adjoining rooms at your discretion. It could prove advantageous to invest some time in defeating the Giant Spiders, as they possess the potential to yield a coveted Druidism skill gem known as “Web.” Subsequently, continue your journey towards the exit.

On the opposite side, to the left of the entrance to Darkened Crypt I, acquire the Occultism skill gem known as “Entropy.” Afterward, commence your journey to Genmire Village by tracing the trail in a southwest direction.

In your quest, seek out Guard Captain Simmons within the town. Engage in conversation with him to bring your quest to a successful conclusion.

Side Quests

Explore Genmire

Rewards:

Location: Activated automatically upon reaching Genmire Village.

Quest Description:

Upon reaching Genmire, it is advisable to:

• Find the Shrine
• Find the Town Storage
• Find the Alchemist
• Find the Farmer

Walkthrough:

The shrine can be easily spotted at the heart of Genmire Village.

If you’re facing south, the Town Storage should be situated behind the stables. It’s recommended to have a conversation with Merrick for further guidance.

You’ll find the Alchemist to the northwest side of town, near the river shore.

To locate the Farmer, head east from the Shrine, and you’ll find them standing outside the windmill.

Quest Title: Wolves at our doors

Rewards:

Quest Description:

Embark on a mission to eliminate 15 Wolves threatening Genmire Village.

Walkthrough:

Make your way to the forest area located to the east of Genmire Village. In this forest, you will encounter and need to defeat 15 Wolves to fulfill the quest.

Sellsword – Orc Raiders

Quest Description:

• Kill 5 Orc Runts (Melee Orcs)
• Kill 5 Orc Runts (Archer Orcs)
• Kill 1 Orc Destroyer

Walkthrough:

Proceed in a northeastern direction from Genmire Village. After covering approximately 550 meters, you will come across an Orc Camp. Your task here is to eliminate 5 Orcs who are equipped with clubs and 1 Orc Destroyer. Once you’ve completed that, venture into the caves and eliminate 5 Orcs who are armed with bows.

Honest Work – Carpentry

Quest Description:

• Collect 3 Makeshift Bows
• I have been asked to craft bows for the town guard.

Walkthrough:

You have two options: you can either craft a Makeshift Bow, which will necessitate a total of 9 Scrap Cloth and 24 Scrap Wood, or you can obtain one by engaging and defeating Goblins and Orcs in the vicinity of the Orc camp located to the northeast of Genmire Village. The Makeshift Bow is a commonly dropped item from these foes.

Quest Description:

• Kill 5 Goblin Ring Leaders

I’ve taken on a task to address the presence of Goblin Ring Leaders near Genmire.

Walkthrough:

To reach their camp, you should follow these directions: Start by heading south from Genmire Village, cross the wooden bridge, and then take the eastern path at the fork in the road. Continue along this road, and you will eventually reach the Hunting Lodge, which is your destination.

Proceed to the white stone arch structure located directly behind the Hunting Lodge.

After reaching the stone arch, continue in the direction of east-southeast into the valley. You will come across a Goblin Ring Leader accompanied by a group of Goblins.

To simplify your task, you can activate the Rocky Road Wagons event by speaking to the NPC just outside the Town Storage. This event will bring forth four Goblin Ring Leaders.

The Genmire Supply Wagon is en route to Genmire Harbour. You may want to complete the event to earn extra experience points and obtain gear rewards.

Sellsword – The Mountain Beast

Quest Description:

• Find and defeat the Great Mountain Bear

Walkthrough:

Follow the road that runs to the south of Genmire Village, cross the wooden bridge, and then turn east at the fork. Keep following this road, and you will reach the Hunting Lodge. Once you’re at the entrance of the Hunting Lodge, look in the direction of the northeast, down into the ravine.

Adventure – Camping

Quest Description:

Search the supplies.

I encountered a woman named Agness who mentioned that there are camping supplies in her cart. She suggested that I consider using them for resting purposes.

Walkthrough:

Engage in conversation with Agness, then interact with the camping supplies. She will provide you with the next part of the quest titled “Side – Well Fed.”

Quest Description:

Collect 5 Grilled Meat

I’ve been tasked with gathering wolf meat and cooking it over the campfire I’ve set up.

Walkthrough:

Access your inventory and select the Basic Camping Gear, or alternatively, press ‘T’ to open the radial menu and choose the Basic Camping Gear option. Find an appropriate spot to place it, and then interact with the campfire.

Quest Description:

Collect 3 Genmire Darter

The fishmonger at Genmire has asked me to fish 3 herring for her.

Walkthrough:

Initiate a conversation with Casy Jane Fishing in Genmire Village, and choose the “Got any work?” option. You have the option to either craft a Basic Fishing Pole using 3 Scrap Cloth and 8 Scrap Wood or purchase it from her for 20 gold.

Proceed to the docks area behind Casy Jane, and then equip the fishing pole in your main hand (note that there’s no separate tool slot for the fishing pole). Press ‘Y’ to cast your line; there’s no need for bait. When you spot fish on the hook, press ‘Y’ once more to reel it in.

Quest Description:

Collect 3 Bloated Cave Fish

The Fishmonger at Genmire wants me to locate and bring back 3 Bloated Cave Fish.

Walkthrough:

Travel south from Genmire Village towards Genmire Docks. Once there, enter the Wet Caves and head north. Then, make an eastward turn and follow the cave until you reach a narrow path that leads to a small waterfall. This is where you can catch the Bloated Cave Fish.

Honest Work – Lumberjacking

• Passive – Survivalist (Skill Gem)

Quest Description:

Collect 5 Basic Timber

The lumberjack in Genmire has request 5 timber logs in return for coin.

Walkthrough:

Craft or purchase a Basic Lumber Axe and equip it to one of your tool slots. Head eastward from Genmire Village and keep an eye out for fallen tree nodes; they will appear on your compass as an axe icon.

Prerequisite:

• Explore Genmire

Quest Description:

Collect 5 Iron Ore

The smith in Genmire has offered me core for 5 iron ore.

Walkthrough:

Engage in conversation with Grisly the Smith in Genmire Village, and choose the “Got any work? [Mining]” option.

Craft a Basic Pickaxe and equip it in one of your inventory’s tool slots. Then, make your way to the southeast end of town, just behind the windmill. There, you will find the entrance to Genmire Mine. Enter the mine and start mining some iron.

Honest Work – Smithing

Prerequisite:

• Explore Genmire

Quest Description:

Collect 5 Iron Swords

I’ve been offered coin in return for 5 iron swords for Genmire’s smithy.

Walkthrough:

Have a conversation with Grisly the Smith in Genmire Village, and opt for the “Got any work? [Smithing]” option.

To craft an Iron Sword, you’ll need a Weapon Crafting skill level of 20. The simplest approach to achieve this level is by crafting several Basic Pickaxes.

Local Story – Something Fishy

Quest Description:

Kill 10 Young Scale-Scream

Find the source of the creatures

I found the body of a dead man by the waterside near Genmire.

Perhaps I should find out what happened to him.

Walkthrough:

Proceed along the road south of Genmire Village. After crossing the wooden bridge, look to the west to locate a Dead Adventurer along the shoreline.

Turn to the south, and you should see the entrance to the Wet Caves directly ahead. Enter the caves.

Engage in combat as you progress through the cave. Eventually, you will encounter a ladder; climb it to discover the Chastise skill gem hidden in the corner.

Keep moving forward, and you’ll reach a chamber containing Scale Scream egg sacs guarded by the Scale King. You don’t have to defeat the boss because it’s not a part of the quest. Simply visiting this area will complete the quest.

Before departing, consider farming the Scale Scream Shaman to obtain the Druidism skill gem called “Regrowth.”

No Crabs

Location:

• Bradley, Genmire Docks

Quest Description:

Collect 15 Crab Meat

Bradley at Genmire docks has lost a shipment of crab meat and said he’d pay me to replace it.

Walkthrough:

Have a conversation with Bradley at Genmire Docks, and then head southeast to the beach beyond the stone tower. There, you can farm the Giant Crabs for Crab Meat. If you spend some time there, they also have a chance to drop a rare Druidism skill gem called “Natural Barrier.”

Occultism – Dark Arts

Rewards:

• 30 EXP
• 10 Gold
• Summon Skeleton (Skill Gem)

Location:

• Relic, Above Genmire Graveyard

Quest Description:

Collect 50 Broken Bones

A man named Relic camped above Genmire graveyard has requested you bring him the bones of the dead. He says he could teach you the dark arts if you do.

Walkthrough:

Proceed along the road past the graveyard, heading northeast. Look for Skeletons, as they drop Broken Bones. You can also return to the graveyard to farm them.

Additionally, be aware that there’s a possibility of a rare Elite mob named Forgotten Soul spawning in the graveyard. It has a chance to drop the Occultism skill gem called “Corrupted Ground” and, in very rare cases, the Forgotten Soul spell book. To trigger its spawn, continue defeating the mobs in the graveyard. However, please note that spawn times for the Forgotten Soul can vary and may take anywhere from 15 minutes to 1 hour.
