Even on Ultra, the regular Anti Aliasing filter of this game is terrible, resulting in jagged edges around many objects, especially character models. I found a fix for this, but it will only work with NVIDIA GPUs for now (never tested on AMD ones).

This will only work on NVIDIA graphics cards. If you know an equivalent way for AMD cards please write a comment and I will add it to the guide.

NOTE: This will significantly increase the GPU usage % of the game, making it heavier to run. Fatal Bullet is not a demanding game, however, those with older or lower-end machines should keep this in mind.

How to Fix Anti-Aliasing

Step 1: First of all make sure you opened the game at least once and configured the visual settings as you like. Set the Anti Aliasing in-game to Ultra, it is garbage but it will help a bit. The rest of the setting as you want. After that close the game.

Step 2: Open the NVIDIA Control Panel. To do this, right-click on your desktop and there should be an option saying “Nvidia Control Panel” in the drop-down menu.

In the alternative, you can look in the quick bar on the bottom right of the screen, near the clock, which usually has a bunch of icons (some may be hidden in the upwards arrow menu). There, somewhere, should be an NVIDIA icon, right-click the icon and select “NVIDIA Control panel”.

A window will then open.

Step 3: With the panel open, select the menu category on the left called “Manage 3D Settings”, then on the right panel visualized after, select the “Program Settings” tab.

Step 4: Click on “Add”. A new list window will appear, showing many programs that have been used on your computer recently. Scroll this list and, if you opened it at least once recently, you should find “Sword Art Online Fatal Bullet” in the list

ATTENTION! There could be TWO of them on the list. The right one, the one YOU WANT is the one saying “saofb-win64-shipping.exe” as destination .exe file. So check accurately and only select the one in the list that says “saofb-win64-shipping.exe” somewhere in the description or file path. Very important, or this procedure will not work.

Step 5: After adding the program, look below, and you will see a list with many options. Look for the following options and set them as described:

“Antialias – FXAA” – Enabled
“Antialias – Mode” – Improve the application’s setting

After doing this click Apply on the bottom right of the panel. Then close the panel and launch the game.

If you did everything correctly, now the jagged edges/aliasing should be much less evident.
