This guide will be showing you how to make a basic engine in Stormworks: Build and Rescue. Please note that this guide will use a medium engine as a demonstration. In case you already know how to make a basic one, then why not try making a modular engine by following this guide on how to make a modular engine in Stormworks.
Engine Outputs
First, place your simple engine and attach a liquid connection to the air tube. Next, link the liquid containers (not gas ones) to the fuel connection, ensuring it’s diesel. For the second step, link the coolant output to any radiator; if it’s a 5×5 radiator, include a switch to activate it. Lastly, attach pipes to the exhaust output and connect them to either a liquid or exhaust connection. If you want to control the exhaust, consider adding catalytic converters to the pipes to decrease or eliminate it.
Rotation Per Second (RPS)
First, link any kind of gearbox—it’s your choice, but it can provide reverse or different gears for various speeds. If you want to measure the engine’s torque, attach a torque sensor. After that, you can add anything that accepts RPS (Revolutions Per Second), such as helicopter blades, propellers, or wheels.
