This guide aims to comprehensively cover all the vendors and ship manufacturers in the game that provide ship-related services and sell ships. To begin, I will provide a list of all the manufacturers. You can conveniently locate this list on the right-hand side of the guide index, organized alphabetically by name. Each manufacturer will have its dedicated section. Additionally, I will group all the neutral vendors together in a separate category towards the end of this guide.
Introduction
The five major companies in the game each have their unique designs and specialties. These aspects significantly influence the outward appearance of the ship, including structural elements, cockpits, and the interior spaces of the ship.
On the other hand, the remaining ship companies are more generic and primarily focus on producing items such as weapons, fuel storage solutions, and cargo hold ship inventory expansions. These components primarily enhance the functionality of your ship and have less impact on its overall style.
You can typically find these ‘generic’ ship parts in various locations, including most landing bays at major settlements and even some minor ones. Towards the end of this guide, you’ll find a comprehensive list of these locations. If you happen to come across any additional locations not listed here, please feel free to leave a comment, and I will make sure to add them.
Should you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to ask in the comment section. Both I and fellow community members are here to help you out.
Deimos
Deimos operates a staryard located in the Sol star system, specifically in orbit around Deimos, one of Mars’ moons. To access this staryard, you’ll need to travel to Deimos and dock at the facility.
Upon entering the staryard, proceed straight ahead, passing the reception area. At the end of the hallway, turn left and descend the stairs. There, you’ll encounter Nikau Henderson, who serves as the vendor for ship purchases and ship parts.
Here’s some additional information about Deimos:
- Deimos offers exclusive cockpits, landing gears, structural components, and some spacious habitation modules.
- It’s important to note that Deimos-branded habitation modules often feature fewer workbenches and crafting stations compared to other options but compensate with increased storage capacity, including chests.
- Deimos is renowned for producing robust ships and reliable ballistic weapons.
- In terms of workshops, both Stroud-Eklund and Deimos stand out because they not only provide crafting tables but also a research terminal. This means that in a single workshop, you have access to all crafting stations except pharmaceutical ones.
Hopetech
Hopetech operates an office in Hopetown, situated within the Valo star system on the planet Polvo. To locate Valo on the star map, you won’t find it by default; instead, you should hover over the Narion system, and Valo will appear in the drop-down menu.
Upon landing in Hopetown, you’ll immediately spot the Hopetech office right in front of you. Simply enter through the front door.
Inside the office, proceed into the main room, and you’ll encounter the salesperson, Inaya Rehman, positioned behind a counter.
Here’s some additional information about Hopetech:
- Hopetech is renowned for providing high-quality general ship parts, including structural components, landing gears, and dockers.
- They offer exclusive items such as cockpits, dockers, landing gears, structural pieces, and a diverse selection of habitation modules.
- Hopetech boasts some unique cockpit pieces that attach to the ship from the top, allowing the cockpit to be positioned underneath the body of the ship rather than at the front or top.
- They also offer distinctive ‘fuselage’ shaped habitation elements, adding to the variety of ship customization options.
Nova Galactic
Nova Galactic can be found within the Sol system, specifically in New Homestead, which is located on Titan, one of Saturn’s moons.
Upon arriving at New Homestead, head to the landing pad, and you’ll immediately spot the vendor, the Ship Services Technician. They are positioned directly on your left as soon as you land.
Here’s some additional information about Nova Galactic:
- Nova Galactic is renowned for its exceptional habitation modules, landing gears, and structural ship components.
- They offer enormous 3×2 habitation modules, providing ample living space for your crew.
- Nova Galactic also provides a brilliant 3×2 cockpit option, which is a notable feature.
- Additionally, they are known for producing one of the most robust and powerful landing gear systems in the Starfield universe, ensuring the stability and safety of your ship during landings.
Stroud-Eklund
The Stroud-Eklund Staryard is in orbit around Dalvik, a moon of Deepala, located in the Narion system.
Upon docking at the staryard and entering, you’ll exit through the red door on the left, as shown in the screenshot above. Continue forward into the office, and on your left, you’ll find Havershaw behind a desk. Havershaw is the vendor responsible for selling ships and ship parts at this location.
Alternatively, you can visit the Showroom in Neon Core on Volii Alpha in the Volii system. There, you’ll find a kiosk behind a woman, which allows you to purchase both ships and ship parts. It’s worth noting that both Havershaw and the kiosks appear to have the same inventory.
Here’s some additional information about Stroud-Eklund:
- Stroud-Eklund is known for its unique landing bay designs, cockpits, dockers, landing gears, and more, all of which contribute to the distinctive style and functionality of their ships.
- They are recognized for luxury interiors and sleek, modern designs, enhancing the overall aesthetic of their vessels.
- Similar to Deimos, Stroud-Eklund boasts one of the best workshops, offering not only crafting tables but also a research terminal. This means that within a single workshop, you have access to every crafting station except pharmaceuticals, making it a versatile and efficient workspace.
Taiyo Astroneering
To reach Taiyo Astroneering, you should land in Neon, specifically Neon Core. Please note that you won’t be able to fast travel here unless you’ve previously visited Neon Core. Neon Core is situated on Volii Alpha in the Volii System.
Once you arrive in Neon Core, whether you’ve fast-traveled or entered through the elevator, look for a distinctive red Ryujin Tower. If you fast-traveled, it will be on your right, and if you entered through the elevator, it will be on your left. This tower is located all the way at the end, so it’s quite conspicuous. Simply walk straight forward until you reach it. You’ll find an elevator there, and you should select “Taiyo Astroneering” in the menu.
Upon exiting the elevator, head to the right, and then take the stairs on your right once more. This will lead you to Veronica Young, who serves as the salesperson at this location.
Here’s some additional information about Taiyo Astroneering:
- Taiyo Astroneering is known for offering unique ship bays, cockpits, dockers, habitation modules, and structural parts, all characterized by Taiyo’s distinctive sense of style.
- They are renowned for their state-of-the-art cockpits, habitation modules, and gear, which contribute to the functionality and aesthetics of their ships.
Generic Manufacturers
There are numerous ‘generic’ ship part manufacturers in Starfield, each with a variety of names. Unlike the specific offices mentioned earlier, you won’t find dedicated locations for these manufacturers. Instead, their products are scattered across various Staryards and Landing Pad Ship Services technicians throughout Starfield’s Galaxy.
These generic ship part manufacturers specialize in the following areas:
- Amun Dunn: Power Reactors
- Ballistic Solutions: Ballistic Weapons, Fuel Storage
- Deep Core: Grav Drives, Cargo Storage
- Dogstar: Cargo Storage, Reactors, Shields
- Horizon Defense: Weapons
- Light Scythe: Energy Type Weapons
- Nautilus: Fuel Storage, Shields
- Panoptes: Engines & Cargo Storage
- Protectorate Systems: Cargo Storage
- Reladyne: Grav Drives, Engines
- Sextant Shield Systems: Shielded Cargo Bays, for hiding Contraband
- Shinigami: Energy Type Weapons
- Slayton Aerospace: Grav Drives
- Xiang: Power Reactors
Ship Services Technicians
It’s important to note that not all landing pad ship technicians in Starfield are equal, even when they are not associated with a specific company.
For example, the ship technician on Porrima III at the Red Mile specializes in selling shielded Cargo Bays. Similarly, if you join the Crimson Fleet and visit the ship tech aboard The Key, you’ll find the same type of product available.
Furthermore, once you unlock a landing pad on your outpost, you’ll have your own ship technician who typically carries a particularly diverse and extensive inventory of ship parts and equipment.
