This guide will give you the step-by-step process on how to get the majority of Mission Badges on Morrow’s Reach. Please note that this guide focuses solely on Mission Badges and not Island Badges. Be aware that it may contain spoilers for the game.
Certain badges are self-explanatory and won’t be detailed in this guide:
- First Step (Complete the mission)
- Risky Venture (Avoid releasing a memory, i.e., refrain from reloading a quicksave)
- No Time Tinkering (Abstain from using Afia’s Time Freeze)
- Clean Sweep (Eliminate all guards in the mission)
Red Marley Rising
Don’t use any distractions
This badge only counts active skills your team has, such as Time Freeze or Wander Dust, as distractions. Other tactics like leaving tracks in the sand or making guards see bodies on the ground are not included in this badge’s criteria and are allowed.
I Like A Challenge
Don’t board the Marley via the chain
The first time you spot the Marley in the area with three guards when entering the chain, you have the option to go to the right and use Blink to take a different route.
In this alternate path, there are no guards at all. You can simply pass through this route and then re-enter the Marley from the other side using Blink.
Get past the Prognasticar without killing them
After entering the area with the Prognosticar, you can sprint through the water directly behind them. This noise will cause them to turn around, so you’ll need to crouch immediately. Be swift, as they will turn around once more. When their view cone turns yellow at that point, they’ll stun you if they spot you. Don’t hesitate to use Blink to escape their line of sight, and then make a dash for the ladder.
If you prefer, you can also eliminate the guard next to the Prognosticar and hide the body behind them. This will buy you some extra time but will also trigger an alarm.
Just Passing Through
Don’t attack anyone on the Marley except the Custodes
The key strategy here is that when you attack a Custode, all guards within a certain radius become catatonic, which is essentially the same as being eliminated in this game. So, you should wait until the maximum number of possible guards are gathered around the Custodes, eliminate them, and then quietly sneak around the ones that remain. For the last guard standing right in front of your final objective, activate Time Freeze and make a dash for it, because as soon as you trigger the event, the mission concludes.
A Ship Needs a Crew
Turn 5 guards catatonic at once
This is quite manageable since there are already four guards within the Custodes’ radius. One of them is running through the Area of Effect, so you only need to eliminate the Custodes at the right moment. As for the last guard, I suggest using Suleidy’s Wander Dust on the one who is standing near the Custodes, not the one by the table, as he may get stuck in that area.
Do not attack more than 4 guards and do not trigger alarm
It’s a relatively straightforward mission, but there are a couple of important things to remember. I recommend undertaking this mission with Afia and Suleidy since their skills, such as Time Freeze, Wander Dust, and Cover Seeds, are your best assets here. Keep in mind that the catatonic state of guards doesn’t count as kills.
Here’s a recommended sequence for your attacks/eliminations:
- Start with the Custode.
- Take out one of the Acolytes in the tear area who isn’t affected by the Custode’s catatonic state.
- Eliminate the Acolyte on the Tower who is facing Teresa and Pinkus.
- Finish by dealing with the Commissarius standing right in front of Teresa.
Finish mission without swimming
The only situation where you’d typically need to swim is right at the beginning. However, you can easily bypass this by bringing Toya along. Use Bird’s Voice to lure the guard on top to the small dock where the ladder is located. Then, employ Blink to eliminate the guard and take over his position with Afia, allowing you to continue without the need to swim.
Lower the ladder for Toya and complete the mission.
Finish the mission with only Afia in your team
The key strategy is to make sure Toya has her upgraded skill, Grand Blink, unlocked so that you can use it on the first guard. Without it, you won’t be able to progress further. After that, just follow the usual gameplay.
The Captain’s Treasure
Board all Inquisition Ships and take down their crew
In the area, you’ll come across multiple ships, and some of them have guards on board. Your goal is to step onto each ship once and eliminate all the guards. Since you have all your crewmates on your team, skills like Gaëlles Kanol can be extremely useful in this situation.
When dealing with the largest ship, there’s a specific spot where you can shoot your crewmates without alerting any guards to the sound. You’ll only need to use Teresas Ashen Judgement to blind one guard (see the screenshot for reference). From this point, it becomes relatively straightforward to eliminate all the guards on the entire ship.
Additionally, while eliminating all the guards in this mission, be sure not to overlook the solitary guard you can spot in the background of the screenshot. He’s quite easy to miss, so keep an eye out for him.
Strength In Numbers
Kill 3 Prognosticars at the same time
There are 5 Prognosticars on the island. I suggest completing this badge alongside the Clean Sweep mission (which involves eliminating all guards). Keep the Prognosticars alive until the end, and then take out 3 of them simultaneously using shadow mode to complete the task.
Finish the mission without raising alarm
It’s quite straightforward. Just remember that if you trigger an alarm, you can use a memory (fast reload) to give it another shot.
Take control of Ignacia with Pinkus
For this badge, just keep in mind that Ignacia functions similarly to a Prognosticar. So, use any skill on her before switching over to Pinkus.
