This guide will help you farm Glowing Fragments to buy 40 armor skins quicker!
Overall
- First, you WILL re-roll lots and lots of adventure maps on Corsus!
- To farm Glowing Fragments you need the ‘Swamp of Corsus’ DLC
- Having +20 equipment is highly recommended, but not a must, it just helps a bit.
- Try not to waste more than 3 to 6 minutes on each re-roll if it does not gives you the proper RNG
Solo Farming
While farming solo this will take a considerable amount of time! Coop is strongly recommended!
If you got no friends online (like I did), you will aim for two farming strats AT THE SAME TIME
- Re-roll ADVENTURE MODE on CORSUS on NORMAL
- Teleport to the world and run straight forward (stocking 100ish adrenaline is recommended)
- Look for some kind of structure (dungeon) that has this entrance:
- Here you have 2 possible outcomes that you want:
- Fetid Pools dungeon
- Iskall’ Sanctum
If you got Fetid Pools:
- If you DO NOT HAVE the Rusted Amulet, run and gun the dungeon to find the Rusted Amulet and go back to step 1
- If you DO HAVE the Rusted Amulet, equip it, crouch inside the acid pools inside the dungeon, and run to the end of it to use the key on the door with stairs behind!
DO NOT RE-ROLL YET
- Find the Rusted Amulet (again) and do the same thing: crouch inside the pool and use it on the door with the Glowing fragments (+25 Glowing Fragments)
- Go back to step 1
If you got Iskall’ Sanctum:
- Grab the Sigil with the Iskall Queen and, if possible, use it on the Cryptolith.
- You just need to grab the Sigil once to use it 3 times!
- If the cryptolith is at the next area since you are on Normal, just run and gun, kill the boss to go to the next area, and use the sigil (with 3 uses you get +25 Glowing Fragments and need to get the key again).
Go back to step 1
DO NOT WASTE TIME LOOKING FOR IT TOO MUCH! It’s faster to re-roll the world.
DO NOT FORGET TO GRAB THE ARMOR! Otherwise, the Cryptolith WILL NOT refresh.
With this method, I farmed more Glowing Fragments than killing bosses!
Coop Farming (Highly recommended)
While farming coop this will considerably faster!
You will still use the same strategies, each one on their own worlds, and, when they get to ‘Fetid Pools’ or the third use of the Sigil, everyone will join the same world and do the steps at the same time!
- Everyone joins the same world with the dungeon. DO THIS ONE PERSON AT A TIME! (There can only be one key per WORLD)
- Find the Rusted Amulet, equip it and crouch inside the pool to acquire the key, then use it on the door with the stair behind it.
- The second person stays near the acid pools (that’s why normal is recommended, so you can run and gun), when the first key is used, the second person crouch inside the acid and the key appears in all inventories!
- Grab the Glowing Fragments (+25 Glowing Fragments)
- If you have a third person with you, grab some Simulacrum, Luminite, or other equips if you want to, but is not needed!
- Go back to step 1
If you got Iskall’ Sanctum:
- Grab the Sigil with the Iskall Queen and, if possible, use it on the Cryptolith.
- You just need to grab the Sigil once to use it 3 times!
- If the cryptolith is at the next area since you are on Normal, just run and gun, kill the boss to go to the next area, and use the sigil (remember to join only on the third use, it’s the fastest way to get +25 Glowing Fragments and after, you’ll need to get the key again).
Go back to step 1
DO NOT WASTE TIME LOOKING FOR IT TOO MUCH! It’s faster to re-roll the world
Coop is WAY faster since you just need to roll once for Fetid Pools and you are re-rolling the world at double (or triple) the pace you would if you were soloing.
This guide is a mix of some guides that already exist!
It DOES NOT involve messing with save files or mods to help with the RNG!
If you have any questions or methods to add, feel free to comment and I’ll be happy to read about and possibly include in some routing to the method already developed!
