This guide will display the complete roster of all the fatal moves currently accessible in Mortal Kombat 1. These fatalities can be accessed directly from the Steam dashboard, saving you the trouble of visiting external websites. The list encompasses fatalities performed by various characters, including Kameos, and features the pre-order bonus character Shang Tsung. Additionally, it will be regularly updated to include the fatalities of DLC characters as they are released in the future.

Preface

Fatalities are a well-known kind of final move found in every Mortal Kombat game from the very beginning. These are outrageously exaggerated and graphic ways to conclude a fight. To perform them, you need to input a precise sequence of buttons, and this guide covers all those button combinations.

In this guide, we use abbreviations to simplify the movement inputs. Here’s a list of these abbreviations for your reference:

  • F – Forward
  • B – Back
  • D – Down

Most Fatalities require you to be at a specific distance from your opponent, which can be Close, Mid-Close, Mid, Far, or Any. This distance is indicated in parentheses after the button inputs. Figuring out these distances may take a bit of practice, but here’s a general guideline: “Close” Fatalities are performed right next to the opponent, “Mid-Close” Fatalities require you to be approximately 3 steps back from your opponent, “Mid” Fatalities are about 5 steps back, “Far” Fatalities need you to be as far away as possible within the short time allowed for a Fatality, and “Any” Fatalities can be executed from various distances, but it’s usually best to stay around the Mid-range to avoid accidental hits after an incorrect input.

Moreover, because some players use different controllers or customize their keybindings in fighting games, I will be referring to the final inputs as Front Punch, Back Punch, Front Kick, Back Kick, Block, and Kameo Assist. If you’re unsure which buttons or keys correspond to these maneuvers, I recommend checking the in-game pause menu to learn and master this information.
