- Title: We Went Back
- Release Date: April 4, 2020
- Developer: Dead Thread Games
- Publisher: Dead Thread Games
This is a complete walkthrough of all 11 achievements for novice players, covering everything about the game in detail from the basics, walkthrough, and step by step. I hope you can reproduce the milestones you missed using this guide.
Part 1: Station
- Complete the first walkthrough
- Clues: 4/4
- Scares: 1/7
- Achievements: 7/11
We will finish this game by completing the first end, which means that instead of completing all jumpscares, we will take all images and then experience to the end. However, I included all probable scary places and moved them to the other part. Jumpscares would be seen a few times, so why not put them in the second section?
Note: Interacting with the scares of the triggering few will never nullify this purpose; we simply avoid Billy.
First Walkthrough
Wake Up, Sleepyhead
Opened the cryotube door.
You’ll keep walking till you acquire this achievement at the start; don’t worry about the exit door; we’ll get to that in our second walkthrough because we need the code for it.
Say Cheese
Collected the camera.
When you can move the camera around, your screen should progressively zoom to it, and then the Polaroid camera snaps a shot of yourself, instantly unlocking the accomplishment.
1st loop:
You’ll crawl through the vents and come across a chamber with vinyl and polaroid images on the wall; we’ll have to collect them all during the run.
Clue #1: The first one is a form for our Polaroid camera.
2nd loop:
Clue #2: A severed hand can be found on the left plant side, so pick it up and rotate it to reveal another moon-crescent shape.
3rd loop:
A glass door that has not been destroyed but has developed a second crack can also be seen.
Clue #3: A Petri Dish with a moon symbol will emerge on the microscope.
4th loop:
Clue #4: The final clue you will photograph is an eyeball.
Ghostly Glow
Took pictures of every interactable moon symbol.
If you had followed the guide, you would have gotten all four clues.
Stop Repeating Yourself
Collected all clues without triggering the repeating rooms.
We don’t leave anything out, so if you followed the guide, you’ll gain this accomplishment alongside the Ghostly Glow achievement.
Although the horrors for Billy Boy aren’t finalized, I took note of them and will discuss them in my second playing.
5th loop:
There is a third crack in the wall, and mentioning it here previously gave you the notion for loop counts, but you may enter the room at this point. You will begin to hear music.
Go to the Garden, Sinner
Collected the Golden Record.
You’ll need this to piece together the password puzzle on the wall, which is shown to be FUTILE, and see what happens.
Heretic
Solved the password.
You will receive this after completing the problem.
Scare #7: While this counts as a jumpscare, it does not grant Billy Boy Achievement. This is something I mentioned in another section.
The Blazing World
Walked through fire.
For this ending, we simply get murdered and instantly return to the beginning.
So you have the password, but you may skip on to the Billy Boy Achievement because entering the console with your password unlocks other achievements.
Part 2: Stopping the loop
- Complete first walkthrough cont.
- Scares: 7/7
- Achievements: 10/11
We didn’t die, so now our goal is to get the horrible ending, which requires Billy to murder us. I see there are eight jumpscares, but only five specifics are required, therefore you’ll receive the scares easy. You must still take clue images in order for the next door to appear or even after entering one (for example, on your first loop where clue #1 appears).
1st loop:
Scare #1: This happens directly after the loop in the same spot; all you have to do is look quickly through the glass window where the lights are, and the item will fly through your view up close. If it does not appear, proceed to the next room in the loop.
Scare #2: This is where the space suits will glare at you, and you will come to a halt when one falls down and you notice a vent that you did not notice at first. A creature will scare you once you open the vent.
Scare #3: Before entering the same door on the second loop, there is a chance of a monster appearing near the ceiling; he is placed to where you are looking up, thus he should be unmissable.
2nd loop:
Scare #4: I believe this should be a jumpscare due to the abrupt audio cue, just when you interact via cryo chamber the third chamber, the sound will emerge quickly so that should be acknowledged, but at least the cryo door will create a sound.
Scare #5: This may appear on the glass window where you can see it, and I believe it may appear on the following loop, so keep this in mind just in case, but there is a crack on the window.
3rd loop:
Scare #6: This one should be seized from the monster, but don’t worry, he won’t kill you.
IMPORTANT: Move through the petri dish room and into the next door to avoid starting at the beginning of the cryo chambers.
4th loop:
There’s nothing here to frighten you; we merely keep marching in a circle till a door appears.
5th loop:
Scare #7: You should be able to get this one from Billy, although you will black out at first. The next thing you know, you’re awake.
Billy Boy
Experienced all possible scares.
If you keep going through this area, you’ll get it when Billy grabs you for the second time. You will begin in the Petri Dish area, rather than at the beginning.
Take Clue #4 and proceed so that we can return to the beginning after the door.
One Giant Leap
Finished one complete playthrough.
Simply enter the password supplied; you can acquire this using the Cheater Achievement, but it is reserved for the end.
Street Cred
Finished watching the credits.
Simply sit and ponder about the game and what was going on.
Part 3: Speedrun
- Complete the second walkthrough
- Achievements: 11/11
Second Walkthrough:
Cheater
Inputted the password without collecting any clues or walking through any doors.
The password you enter should be the same as in the previous case, but you unlock it in the same manner as the One Giant Leap Achievement.
