This guide will show you how to make an average of 12,000 gold in a single run in Vampire Survivors.
Reliable 12k Gold Method
This guide is for everyone who, like me was very concerned about how long it would take to unlock all the Upgrades.
It’s super simple and works best with mortaccio, due to his late-game supremacy. An alternative option would be Imelda due to her exp bonus. But it’s not restricted to a character, as you will see. (Well Exdash and Dummario might be considered exceptions)
So first of all you need to have the library hyper mode unlocked and upgraded at least greed (growth is also helpful for obvious reasons but super expensive). I assume here that you know how to evolve weapons if not best look it up because that’s really important.
The first step is to start the inlaid library on hyper and prepare your equipment that means (I’ll use mortaccion as the example here if you play someone else is sure to adjust accordingly):
- Collect 3 evolvable weapons of your choice plus their respective items needed for evo.
- Also collect Attractob, Crown, and Duplicator.
- Since the latest update previous to me making this guide made Santa Water evolve with Attractorb that is the fourth pick and magic wand is the fifth.
You then have 6 weapons, for example:
- Bones, King Bible, Fire Wand, Santa water, Magic Wand and Axe. (If you’re not playing as mortaccio make sure to have Rune Tracer in place of bones)
With the following Items (Except magic wand):
- Spellbinder, Spinach, Crown, Candelabrador, Duplicator, and Attractor.
Once you have all six items and its at least 10 minutes into the run, start moving to the left and keep looking at the top wall where the tables with chairs are, after some time (maybe 2 min. just keep going, can’t miss it) you’ll find a chair that has the Empty Tome on it, take it, you now have the last item needed for your 5 evos. There might be one or two additional tomes further in, but their appearance is related to the time of the run and I haven’t figured it out yet, so why even bother. Still most of the time you can find a second tome and save a chest for money this way.
Now head in the opposite direction for the Stone Mask, it will complete the setup. That will take a while since it’s roughly the same distance from spawn as the tome was.
You now have the complete setup to make some sweet, sweet coin, and you’re essentially done. Level it all up and that’s where the magic starts to happen, and by magic i mean some nasty snowballing. Simply play, collect the XP and choose a coin bag. The following is just an explanation of how it works.
In a non-hyper run, even with max greed you won’t be able to make close to half of the amount, in a hyper run depending on your skill level you might not be able to pick Stone Mask, you’ll top out at 8k.
The nastiness is in the multiplier. You might have seen that when choosing hyper mode it says plus 50% Gold, the same goes for a fully upgraded Stone Mask and greed at max level. Whoever the numbers looked a bit odd for me so I paid closer attention and realized the coin bags that say 25 coins are actually worth 75. Now by this point, you have probably already guessed it: The hyper bonus is applied before the others. So it’s 150% gold as a base and that is doubled because greed and stone masks are applied at once.
If you only have one of those you will get 63 because it’s 225% of the original amount.
Now another fun fact:
The chests show with the green numbers their precise worth after the changes are applied, whoever the coin bags and the win bonus at the end do not. So you get from every coin bag (And I mean those that are rewarded for a level up or in chests after you’ve leveled all your stuff) 75 and for winning 1500. The ones on the ground (also called coin bag) and the funky-looking ones (rich coin bag) gives you 30 or 300. Coins give 3.
If you made it until the end, thank you for reading and happy slaughtering of your enemies.
Ps: I just realized I never explained why anyone other than mortaccio needs Rune Tracer: If you think you cant win the tough last 2 minutes, you can cheese the game by hiding behind the tables (the same you find the tome next to) and both Rune Tracer and Bones ricochet in ridiculous speeds that nothing can enter melee range.
