This manual aims to provide a refresher on the topic of recipes. It does not delve into the intricacies of preparations and similar details.

About Recipe Categories

  • Health
  • Endurance
  • Eitr
  • Food

Food

Food refers to consumable items that offer temporary boosts to health, stamina, and Eitr. Players can have up to three different types of food active simultaneously, resulting in a cumulative increase in the strength of the buffs. The potency of these buffs diminishes uniformly until they completely disappear once the food is fully digested. Food buffs have varying durations and decrease rates. It is not possible to consume multiple portions of the same food until the previously consumed one is partially digested, which is indicated by a flashing icon in the status panel. Consuming the same food type renews the buff’s strength and duration.

While starvation is not a concern, food plays a significant role in enhancing the maximum health and stamina regeneration rates. Since only three types of food can be active at a time, careful selection of food types is crucial based on the planned activities. For example, during exploration or resource gathering, foods with higher stamina buffs should be consumed, while foods that provide increased health and health regeneration are more suitable for dungeons and boss fights.

The combination of food types consumed in challenging combat encounters also depends on the player’s preferred combat style. Maximum health is crucial for effective shield usage due to its connection to the maximum Stagger capacity. Players who rely on dodging attacks exclusively benefit from maximizing their stamina, while those who favor magic in combat gain advantages from maximizing their Eitr.

The color of the fork symbol displayed in the top right corner of each food item’s inventory icon indicates the primary stat it significantly enhances: a red fork represents a food focused on health, a yellow fork indicates a stamina-oriented food, a blue fork signifies an Eitr-oriented food, and a white fork implies an equal buff across all stats.

Raw meat

Raw meat is an inedible ingredient that needs to be cooked on a “Cooking Station” or an “Iron Cooking Station.”

The quantity of meat dropped by an animal corresponds to its name and is indicated by the number of stars.

Food Recipes

Advanced recipes require the construction of a “Cauldron” and, in later locations, a “Stone Oven.”

  • The cauldron is the only cooking stand capable of preparing various dishes and cooking mead bases.
  • To use the cauldron, it must be placed over any source of fire.
  • The cauldron can be upgraded by constructing specific buildings, with a maximum level of 5.
  • Certain recipes need to be baked in a stone oven after the initial cooking process.

Meads

A fermenter is used to transform the base mead into mead.

  • Base meads are cooked using the cauldron.
  • Base meads can be prepared without upgrading the cauldron.
