Walkthrough Guide
Getting to the Darkness
Equip your pickaxe and head upward from the cavern’s center. Begin opening the door and patiently wait for 2 hours. Once the door is open, move upward (top right, top left) until you encounter a spot where you need to roll a rock.
Roll the rock until you can ascend to the ledge. Proceed to the top right, then top left, followed by top right again. Finally, take the left path downward.
Approach the spider and attempt to reach it to make it fall to the floor. Watch as it climbs up the other side. Wait for a couple of days. Afterward, climb the spider webs and continue walking left.
Make a right turn, pick up a green mushroom, and head back to the left, going upward all the way.
Upon reaching a cliff you can’t climb, plant two green mushrooms, followed by a purple one in a specific order (you might need to go back to step 4 to get another green mushroom). Wait for one day.
Going through the Darkness

Find a glowing mushroom that’s purple and shines. Climb up a big mushroom that has recently grown. Be careful not to eat it accidentally. Walk to the right for a few minutes. Reach a point with either a split staircase or a cliff. If you want the “suicide ending,” go to the cliff. Otherwise, take the stairs on the left.
Keep going to the left until you encounter a pair of eyes in the dark. Don’t get too close. Wait for a couple of minutes. Eventually, you’ll fall asleep. If you haven’t learned the ability yet, your character might eat the mushroom when bored, but we don’t need it anymore. Choose options like “I could make my way to the top of the cave,” “The journey will be dangerous,” and “I will have to face the darkness.” Close your eyes. Move towards the eyes on the left until you become them. Turn up the volume and continue walking left until you hear gravel.
Now, decide if you want to go to the Secret Tower or the top of the cave first. Going left will make the gravel sound disappear. Keep walking until you hear a new patch of gravel. Soon, you’ll see light. Move upward, collect 2 pieces of wood and 1 pickaxe. Go to the right of the pickaxe and wait until a bucket comes down for 2 possible endings if you want.
To reach the Secret Tower, turn back towards the darkness and walk for about 5 minutes until you hear the second patch of gravel. Aim your mouse at the top, slight right part of your screen, and walk upwards.
As you progress, you’ll start to see light and encounter a skeleton with a pickaxe. Grab the pickaxe and continue to the right, going up the tower. Collect the books from the bookshelf and pick up the glowing crystal. Head upstairs and wait until it’s 21:00 for the key to drop down. I suggest closing the game, waiting in real life, joining back 20 minutes before the in-game timer hits 21:00, and then AFK in the game until the key drops. Once it does, pick it up; it’s the secret door key.
Returning after leaving
If you want to go back to the Secret Tower, you can set a waypoint or burn some sulfur in your fireplace. If you’ve interacted with the eyes in the dark and successfully passed that part, Shade will automatically walk to the Secret Tower. This journey will take approximately 35 minutes.
