This guide will show you how to easily unlock and get all achievements in Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff. This game features a total of 13 achievements that you can obtain.
Swords ‘n Magic and Stuff Achievements
Initiate Adventurer
Reach level 10 in any class
Adept Adventurer
Reach level 30 in any class
There are five class options in the game: Warrior, Rogue, Hunter, Mystic, and Mage.
Every class is linked to specific weapons. To advance in a class, you need to defeat enemies using weapons associated with that class. In the stat block, you’ll see the class mentioned next to the weapon type. Choose the class that suits your preferred play style; for instance, Warriors are great for Melee Tanking, while Hunters and Mages excel in Ranged combat. Stick with using weapons of the chosen class for a while to unlock various achievements.
Ride Like the Wind
Raise a mount to level 20
To get a mount in the game, you can either buy one at a stable or earn it through quests and challenges. Most mounts have specific requirements, like a certain reputation level in an area.
For a quick mount early in the game, visit the Azura Island Stables.
Your mount gains levels by riding it, and each mount is leveled up separately. Check the bottom-left corner of the HUD while riding to see your mount’s current level and progress. To see all your mounts and their levels/stats, go to a hitching post.
I enjoyed leveling up my mount by riding around the Farmlands or spending time at the Race Track for extra experience outside of regular travel.
Gravity? What’s that?
Glide for 15 seconds straight
Several elevated spots in the world offer opportunities to achieve this goal, such as the summit at Ramshackle Reef (Azura Island), the peak of a stunning waterfall (Azura Island), or the hill where the Druid Ruins are located (Windless Woods).
The weight of the items your character carries affects their speed and mobility. To maximize your chances of earning this achievement, ensure that you don’t surpass your maximum carry weight.
For an even better gliding experience, consider consuming a Potion of Slowfall to enhance your gliding capabilities.
Lost and Forgotten
Suffer permadeath as a Forgotten character
When finishing the character creation process, you’ll choose your combat difficulty. The most demanding option is a hardcore mode named “forgotten,” introducing permadeath.
To swiftly and with minimal emotional impact unlock this achievement, create a disposable character and intentionally get defeated during the tutorial. Once you escape from the cell, the initial enemies you encounter are crabs. Just give one a hit and watch as their pincers bring an end to your character’s journey.
Jump Scare
Defeat 50 bush rats
Azura Island is teeming with these creatures. By thoroughly exploring the routes between Hope Harbor and Ramshackle Reef, your character will undoubtedly defeat 50 of them. Keep an eye on the black dots on the map, as these areas were where I frequently encountered and battled these rodents.
Arachnophobia
Defeat 50 spiders
In the Farmlands, there’s a cave filled with numerous spiders. Begin your journey at the purple dot on the map and triumphantly emerge from the other side! If completing one expedition through the tunnels doesn’t suffice to achieve your goal, bear in mind that the reset time is at 7:00 AM.
Beyond a Shadow of a Doubt
Defeat 50 Shades
Shades appear from pockets of corruption spread across the Windless Woods. In every corruption location, you’ll consistently encounter three shades.
For instance, a specific case can be observed near the Time Shares.
Joined the Chicken Cult
Join the Chicken Cult and embrace the cluck.
Engage in a conversation with Mo, also known as “Chicken Enthusiast,” located at Moonberry Farms in the Farmlands. You can find this spot marked by the red dot on the provided map. Successfully finish the quest named “Big Friend” to earn this achievement.
Defeated Grimwick
Save Sleepy Haven from the pumpkin lord
Have a chat with Marigold, known as the “High Mage,” and Edgar, the “Gravekeeper,” at the Graveyard situated to the North-East of Sleepy Haven. Locate this area using the orange dot on the provided map. To achieve this particular accomplishment, successfully complete the quests named “Gravekeeper’s Apprentice” and “Grave Danger.”
Grimwick’s Return
Become the new Baron Grimwick.
Upon defeating Grimwick for the first time, your character will be rewarded with Grimwick’s Vest (Outfit). Engage in conversation with Marigold, the “High Mage,” to challenge Grimwick once more. The fee for each fight is 5 Witchblooms and 10 Bones.
To acquire Grimwick’s Demise (Head) and Grimwick’s Bane (Weapon), you must overcome Grimwick in two additional battles. The final step to unlock this achievement is defeating Grimwick while your character is equipped with all three items: Grimwick’s Vest, Grimwick’s Demise, and Grimwick’s Bane.
Deafeated Gatekeeper
Protect the realm from the corruption
Initiate a conversation with Daru, known as the “Druid Gatekeeper,” at the Eyre in the Windless Woods. Pinpoint this location on the map with the given instructions. To obtain this achievement, successfully finish the quests titled “Corruption Part I,” “Corruption Part II,” and “Corruption Part III” as guided by Daru.
Hero of Frostfall
Save Snowpeak from the frost golem during Frostfall
Engage in conversation with Meri, also referred to as the “Frostfall Organizer,” at Snowpeak Village during the Frostfall Festival seasonal event. To earn this achievement, successfully complete the quests named “Hero of Frostfall” and “Monster Hunter” as directed by Meri.
