The developer of SUMMERHOUSE has released a new update for the game on April 11, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam.
First Update!
Hi SUMMERHOUSE players!
First of all: Thank you! The launch of this game has been an incredible experience, thanks for playing my little game, thanks for telling your friends about it and thanks for sharing your creations with me and other players! I’m really grateful for how positive and friendly the community around this game has been and I’m happy to see that the majority of you seem to be having a good time with SUMMERHOUSE.
Making a game by yourself is a pretty exhausting project and I’ve taken some time off to recover, but here’s the first SUMMERHOUSE update! There’s going to be new building blocks in future updates, but that’s still going to take a moment, so thanks for being patient with me!
Here are the change notes:
- Added cross plattform Steam Cloud Save support, including for Steam Deck (users might get a one time cloud-save conflict, sorry about that, it’s unfortunately unavoidable)
- Implemented a tutorial for hiding the UI with “H”
- Fixed “J” and “K” buttons switching maps. This was a debug option I accidentally shipped
- Destruction mode gets blocked by UI elements, no more accidentally deleting blocks when clicking a button
- Fixed camera shake bug that would slowly offset the camera position and could lead to camera moving outside of bounds
- Fixed Steam Cloud Save support for unlocked characters
- Characters unlocked in the game’s demo should now count towards achievement progress
- Eyedropper button switches back to random modes after picking item
- Building Block Gallery remembers last scrolling position
That’s it! Please continue letting me know if you find any issues in the game, I’m going to be working on the next update.
Thanks again for being an incredibly kind community, I hope you continue to have a great time with SUMMERHOUSE!
Cheers,
Friedemann
