Whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned pro, these tips will help you navigate the game’s challenges effortlessly.

10 Tips and Tricks for New Players

Earning all the medals across stages 1-12 on Nightmare difficulty is no small feat, but it’s definitely something to be proud of! There are tons of ways to dive into the game, but here are some tips to help you maximize your progress:

  • Initial Plan: Start by playing the game slowly without rushing to earn four medals on any stage. Instead, focus on upgrading your main cannon and wing cannons first to boost your attacking power.
  • Trick for Finding Cards: Learn the card radar trick to find the first 23 cards efficiently. Adjust the radar settings for better visibility and use a double-tap method with a slight delay between taps to scan for cards effectively.
  • Unlocking Stage 13: Once you’ve found 23 cards, unlock stage 13 to reactivate the card radar. Then, consider upgrading mega bomb, energy shield, and laser for better performance, especially for later stages.
  • Getting the Laser Whip: After gaining confidence, tackle stage 13 using the card radar to get the laser whip, known as the best ship. Master tap firing and learn the optimal overcharge duration, around 5 seconds.
  • Choosing Ships: Use the classic ship or enforcer until you get the laser whip. The limp berserker is also good for progression. Collecting all planes can add to the fun as you play.
  • Optimizing Technicians: Customize your technician team to match your goals. Abilities like Burton Panic, Lucy Clover for finding parts, Slow Mo, and Kate Brush for getting untouched medals can boost your efficiency.
  • Weekend Tournaments: Participate in weekend tournaments briefly for prestige point quests. Adding friends can give extra benefits like stars and temporary cards.
  • Priority for Upgrades: Upgrade your main cannon, wing cannon, missiles, magnet, energy shield, health, and laser/mega bomb in that order. You don’t need to max out one upgrade before moving to the next.
  • Farming Medals: Focus on mastering one level for medal farming, like stage 4 on Insane difficulty. Prioritize stars per minute over total stars earned when farming.
  • Stay Persistent: Take breaks if you feel frustrated, even if you have a good temporal card. Progress in the game takes time, so keep trying until you succeed on challenging levels, one medal at a time.
