The developer of Path of Achra has released a new update for the game on April 2, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam.
Path of Achra will be officially leaving early access on May 7th. To that end, there will be a fun content sprint this month, as the starting options, items and prestige classes are completed and revised, along with a few other features. I’m pretty much excrutiatingly grateful to you all who have helped bring it here, and 1.0 of course won’t be the end of updates
As for this update, all the lore entries have been added. I didn’t originally think it would be the kind of game for lore, but players have shown interest, and surprisingly a world has emerged…it would be fun to make a 4x-type thing with this stuff, haha…
PLEASE keep sending in the bug reports, I put them in a big list and they feel really satisfying to fix
- Feats renamed as Lore, all lore entries completed (still subject to future change though, as is everything)
- Ikshana reworked slightly, no longer summons on step, no longer makes allies stationary, 1st and 3rd prayers now gain charges when you step if not adjacent to an enemy
- Uspori now only applies paralysis to enemies in a 2 tile range
- Inuqqa now correctly removes freeze from itself, instead of every other effect
- Crow Visage reworked slightly, removed its meditate stuff, the self-damage is now “on stand still” which should work better with other stand still heals and not get queued separately, although it will always be bizarre in how it works (stand still can cause deaths which create new stand still chains within the queue) (also, in a vacuum the crow visage is now pretty much a “cursed” item, which is nice)
- Mind Diamond reworked to apply 5 Repulsion to self and perform a Hit against 1 enemy at any range
- Raised the cost of Life Chant to 5
- Generally tried to make sure all effect-enhancing abilities get applied before effect-duplicating ones (like Freeze becoming Doom)
- Fixed a bug where Pearl Mirrors were taking damage from your hits – they will still trigger on-hit effects though
- Fixed Zealot Hood not healing if no enemies live
- Fixed some more bugs with abilities that trigger on applying Freeze
- Steam achievement for Anqarak
- Other typos / inaccurate text
Didn’t get to it but immediately planned: search bar for start menu, indication of which options you’ve won with in start menu (want to rework how it looks before doing this)
