A build-order guide, intended to help players of all skill levels get the best start possible. It covers what to build, and how to secure the resources you need, before Wave 1, for high income AND a strong defense. The video will walk (or sprint) you through builds that work for each Faction and all difficulty levels, including Nightmare, as well as for both Unit defense and Ballista Tower defense. You’ll find everything you need to know, and a bunch of stuff you didn’t, binnen! Also included is a simple list of instructions, which you can copy for your own use.

Death Night 1
-If Unit run: Upgrade your chosen units
-If Ballista run: Around start of Wave countdown, Build Barracks – produce a couple Archers
-If Iron: Secure and Mine it
-2 mins out: Unit Tower at each entrance the Wave might take (for vision and sniping Spitters/Axes)
-Wave will take widest path to your Keep; this is not entirely predictable, so wait until spawn
-Figure out your defensive layout
-If Ballista run: 1.5 mins out, stop spending; save for defenses
-Disperse guards to all entrances and give each a Wall piece
-Once Wave spawns (can see path in the Fog), start placing defenses.
If Ballista run: 5 Ballista Towers & 2-3 rows of wall, at choke
If Unit run: 6+ Pikes or 10+ Zwaarden, 1-3 Archer Towers, Walls in front of Towers
-During Wave:
If Unit run: Step melee back as necessary to avoid surround, and retreat heavily injured units
Start producing army and researching Farm, Sconce, enz.
-If any Towers are going to be destroyed, sell them, just prior to death
