This guide is for people who are just starting with ManaSoul. It’s designed to help beginners reach their first 5 levels and understand some of the things they can do in the game. The guide will also talk about the ongoing events that players can participate in.
Introduction
First off, let’s talk about the game. It’s like a big playground where you can do whatever you want, and you can play with other people online. No rules! Now, if you don’t want to use a guide, that’s totally okay. Just go and have fun exploring and playing the way you like!
Now, I want to tell you something really important. When you see regular mobs, those are just normal enemies hanging out in the game world. But here’s the scoop: don’t bother trying to defeat them for EXP (that’s experience points). They won’t give you any, and it’s just a waste of your time and energy. Save your strength for quests that ask you to deal with them.
Easiest Level 1-5
Before we start, don’t forget about the “Arcane Locus” you got in the tutorial. It’s like a special hook that can pull you to colorful markers. Stick it on your hot bar at the bottom of the screen.
Now, head out of Gemshine City through the western exit (the one on the left) and look for chests to open! This will help you level up from 1 to 5 easily and get some cool stuff, especially Faded Memories and Gem Fragments/Shards.
There are lots of hidden chests around the world, so it might take you 30 minutes or up to 2 hours, depending on how good you are at finding them. Just enjoy it! If you open all the chests in the Sapphire Path (the leftmost zone), you can also explore into the Ruby Crag (the southern zone).
What do I do now?
Once you reach Level 5, you might wonder where to use your Stat points. Check out the Spells available in the Spellforge at Gemshine City or visit my other Guide by clicking here. Don’t stress about it too much, though, because you can reset your Stat points later using a Mindmelt Tincture from the General Store.
Now, let’s open any Faded Memories you found during your treasure hunt! Hopefully, you’ll get some helpful gear, Gold, and maybe even some Gem Shards.
Feel free to sell the gear that doesn’t give you the Stats you want.
Now, let me share two suggestions with you:
- If you’ve gathered enough Gem Shards for your Element (Ruby for Fire, Sapphire for Water, Topaz for Earth, Jade for Wind), head to the General Store. Buy an Unsealed Scroll and go create your very first Spell at the Spellforge! If you still have 100G, consider also buying the Small Healing Flask.
- If you didn’t get enough Gem Shards for a Spell, no worries! Instead, purchase a Small Healing Flask (you need to be Level 5 to use it). Save up your Gold afterward to buy the Gem Shards needed for your first Spell.
Now, you’re all set to explore other content in the game.
Just a heads up, if you haven’t crafted your first Spell yet, battles might be a bit tricky or slow. Don’t hesitate to ask for help in Global Chat from other players, or you can offer to trade the Gem Shards you don’t need for the ones you do need.
Quests, Trials, Delves, and Dungeons
Now, let’s dive into the core of the game!
First, let’s understand the terms:
- Trials: These are usually intense boss fights in a single room without any other enemies (at least for now). They’re excellent for earning EXP.
- Delves: These are brief mini-dungeons. You could clear them alone, but it’s faster and better to team up with 2-4 players. Delves are another fantastic way to gain EXP.
- Dungeons: These are high-tier challenging content that absolutely needs a team of 4 players, including a Tank and Healer. Dungeons are not primarily done for EXP but for the awesome rewards you get from completing them.
Apart from those, you can also level up by taking on quests. NPCs scattered throughout the world of Valeyra will have quests for you, offering plenty of EXP.
A quick and effective way to go from Level 5 to 6 is by running the “Spitfire Run” Delve located in Ruby Crag.
Now, if you feel like the regular leveling methods are too grindy, no worries! We’ve got weekly activities in the game that’ll give you a bunch of EXP.
Bounty Board: You can take up to 5 Bounties each real-life week, resetting on Friday. They’ll ask you to defeat a Trial boss that’s within your level range (1-10, 10-15). If you’re not a fan of the Bounty you got, talk to Ledarud next to the Bounty Board to change your current Bounty up to 3 times every week. This also resets on Fridays.
Weekly Challenges: Clear all the Trials and Delves in a zone to earn a guaranteed level up and a Mana Fragment (used for advanced Spellforging) every week. You can do this in every zone! The resets for this also happen on Fridays.
Events
Let’s talk about the ongoing event in ManaSoul.
The game developers aim to have an event happening continuously, with each one lasting a month. If this information is outdated, it means the event has recently changed, and I might not have all the details. I’ll do my best to update this information whenever possible.
Current Event: Launch Celebration
During the Launch Celebration, World Bosses will always drop Celebratory Memories. These unique Memories can contain various Spellforging materials, lower tier Memories, Gold coins, and occasionally better items like Silver Feathers for the Anti-FOMO store, cosmetics, or even an ultra-rare Spell. Rare Mobs, such as Enchanted Kitsu, Alpha Emberclaw, and the Spectral Stag, also have a chance to drop Celebratory Memories.
Current Event: Xmas Event
In the Xmas Event, you can acquire Winter Tickets through different content or by opening Winter Memories. These tickets allow you to challenge Santa Claws (Normal Difficulty) at the Purveyor of Celebrations, a Level 10 boss best tackled with a party. Santa Claws (Normal) consistently drops 5 Winter Memories and occasionally a Santa Hat or Elf Helper Hat, both cosmetic items.
EX Winter Tickets are for the tougher Santa Claws (EX Difficulty). You can exchange 10 Winter Tickets at the Purveyor of Celebrations or earn EX Winter Tickets through Menphina’s Font, a challenging Level 10 Dungeon. Santa Claws EX always drops some Winter Memories and has a chance to drop the game’s first Legendary tier Accessory.
If you’re looking to level up quickly from Levels 8 to 15, Santa Claws (Normal Difficulty) is undoubtedly the fastest route during this event. Prioritize it while the Event is active. The Level 10 Jadewood Delve is the most accessible way to consistently obtain Winter Tickets.
