The challenge posed by Chapter 27 seemed insurmountable, and I found myself restarting it numerous times, spending more time than I care to admit. Eventually, I decided to seek out a guide for assistance, but to my disappointment, there were very few available, and none specifically for that particular fight. Hence, I thought it would be helpful to create this guide, anticipating that others may encounter the same difficulty, search for help online, and hopefully discover this guide.

Guide to Completing Chapter 27

The objective to win this fight is to deplete the opponent’s reserve to zero during the First Round without ever relinquishing priority. It’s crucial to achieve victory before ending priority; otherwise, your deck will not have enough reserves to sustain you.

The recommended “minimal” deck consists of the following cards:

  • 3x [Blood Ritual] (provides additional damage)
  • 3x [Sacrificial Rite] (serves as a combo opener)
  • 1x [Forethought]
  • 1x [Surge] (to be used if you run out of energy)
  • 3x [Charge]
  • 3x [Blaze] (deals combo damage)
  • 3x [Parasite] (an alternative for combo damage, but less efficient)
  • 3x [Inner Peace] (provides safety if you deplete reserves near the end)

Feel free to make modifications if you don’t possess all the cards, but having either [Blaze] or [Parasite] is essential.

Setup:

The order of playing the cards can be adjusted based on your initial hand.

  1. Play all 3x [Sacrificial Rite] to draw the deck.
  2. Play all 3x [Blood Ritual].
  3. Play 3x [Blaze].
  4. Play 1x [Parasite] (if available) or 1x [Inner Peace], but not both.
  5. Play 1x [Forethought] to pass priority.

Ensure that the number of cards in the discard is equal to the number of cards you are drawing. If you have more cards in the discard, the combo will break.

Loop:

Continue the following actions until the opponent ends priority and as long as you have energy:

  • 2x [Blaze] -> 1x [Charge] -> 3x [Blaze] -> 1x [Forethought]

If the opponent does not end priority and you run out of energy, perform the following steps:

  • 2x [Blaze] -> 1x [Charge] -> 3x [Blaze] -> 1x [Surge] -> 1x [Forethought]

If you reach this point more than once, you will need to modify the main loop as follows:

  • 1x [Blaze] -> 1x [Charge] -> 3x [Blaze] -> 1x [Surge] -> 1x [Forethought]

After the opponent ends priority, repeat the loop until their reserve drops to zero and you emerge victorious:

  • 2x [Blaze] -> 1x [Charge]

Once their reserve is sufficiently low, you can cease the loop and utilize all [Parasite] and [Blaze] cards to finish the battle.
