This guide will be showing you the step-by-step process of how to unlock and get all Heretic’s Fork achievements.

General Achievements

Most of these are easy-to-understand achievements and can be acquired just by playing the game without trying too hard. I managed to get all of them without rushing, taking about 30 hours to complete them.

A Worthy Sacrifice

Sacrifice 100 cards.

Big Gun

Upgrade a tower to tier 5.

Card Captor

Purchase a card with credits.

Forgive me, for I have…

Punish 5000 sinners.

Little Guys

Upgrade a garrison to tier 5.

Power Trip

Play 100 power cards.

Going in Circles

Purge the final circle.

Untouchable

Reach greed without taking any damage.

Unholy Matrimony

Reach the final circle using only unholy damage.

This becomes simpler once you unlock more cards in the Promotions section of the Rewards menu. If you’re finding it challenging, try getting some credits to unlock more cards before trying again.

Light Work

Reach the final circle using only holy damage.

It becomes simpler once you unlock more cards in the Promotions section of the Rewards menu. If you’re having a tough time with it, try getting some credits to unlock more cards before giving it another shot.

Farenheit

Reach the final circle using only hellfire damage.

It becomes much easier when you unlock more cards in the Promotions tab of the Rewards menu. If you’re having a tough time with this, consider getting some credits to unlock more cards before trying it again.

Big Playa

Achieve a highscore of 200,000 in Endless mode.

Reaching a score of 200,000 might take some time, but it’s doable with a strong setup. I suggest starting with your favorite employees and builds. Some reliable combinations like Dark Marker+Judgement, Unholy SMG+Butcher of Sins, or Sawblade+Unholy Pulse can also help you achieve this.

Completionist

Complete all challenges.

You can get this by finishing all the challenges listed under the Tasks tab of the Rewards menu. Many of these become easier once you unlock more cards.

Middle Management

Unlock all characters.

Employee Achievements

Win the game in normal mode with each employee.

I’m just the Intern

Fully complete a Shift with Intern Ruby.

This is about an intern. They don’t have any special abilities and begin with a random basic deck.

Lock, Stock and Smoking Sinners

Fully complete a Shift with John Fenriz.

Let’s talk about The Locksmith. They can lock sacrifice slots for 1 energy, keeping cards from being discarded between rounds. They begin with 3 open structure slots.

Confessional

Fully complete a Shift with Denny Fox.

Meet someone who’s highly motivated but scared of the void they’re placed in. They gain Repent, which allows them to redraw their hand once per turn. However, cards in the sacrifice area are not redrawn.

Trade Secret

Fully complete a Shift with Niya Biblyat.

Here’s someone who appears to have been around forever and does well in the space between life and death. They have Dark Bargain, which lets them sacrifice HP to draw an extra card and gain 2 extra energy.

Strategy: Niya is a powerful employee throughout the game but usually needs consistent healing or shielding to fully utilize her Dark Bargain ability without risking defeat.

Rock your socks off

Fully complete a Shift with Unknown.

Here’s someone with an unusual hobby – collecting rocks. It’s a bit strange, but to each their own, right? Their damage increases based on the number of rock cards in play. Cards in the sacrifice area stick around between rounds, but there’s a chance they might turn into rocks at the end of each round.

Fortune Favored

Fully complete a Shift with Greezy.

You begin with 50 pieces gold.

You have a magical shop rift that’s always open, and instead of changing or upgrading your cards, you can turn them into more gold.

Your game plan: Greezy doesn’t do so well at the start, but it shines in the later rounds of an endless adventure. To succeed with Greezy, you’ll need a bit of luck early on to build your strategy and survive those initial challenges. Patience is key, and you might need a few attempts to conquer this.

Here’s a fun strategy I’ve had success with:

  1. Start with Dark Marker and Judgement towers. Focus on strengthening your Judgement towers, as Dark Marker is primarily for ongoing healing. Grab some Curse items and cards that heal or shield you to stay alive while you build up your deck, gather gold, and increase your damage.
  2. For your tower stats, prioritize: the speed of tower projectiles, how many projectiles your towers shoot, their ability to pierce enemy defenses, the area of effect of your towers, overall tower damage, unholy damage, and unholy critical hit chance. If you get the chance, consider adding an Unholy Pulse Tower a bit later in your adventure, especially once your unholy critical hit chance has improved.

Hidden Achievements

Check the box

You checked the box!

This achievement is unlocked by opening the Box.exe file and checking the elusive checkbox. It might take some nimble mouse movements and fast clicking to pull off this tricky task.

Breaking bricks

Beat the hackers minigame.

To earn this achievement, conquer the brick breaker minigame in Pong.exe. No special tricks here, just keep that ball from slipping past your paddle and hitting the ground. If it does, you’ll lose lives fast, so stay vigilant!

BIOS

Did you really think that would work?

This achievement is a bit cheeky. It’s yours when you persistently press F12 while starting the game. But alas, it won’t yield any secret results!
