Warlock is cool these days because there are many tricks to make your attacks stronger using summoned creatures. A neat trick I found is that you can pick all the Elemental Surge options. What you have to do is use the Memory potion on one Elemental Surge choice when it shows up, then pick a different one. Keep doing this until you have Fire, Ice, and Electricity options. Once you have all these Elemental Surge choices when you level up, you can choose any upgrade you like, and if you use Reverberant Tincture, you can even double the chance of a specific element.
