The developer of Grimhook has released a new update for the game on April 3, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam.
A huge thank you to everyone for playing Grimhook! The game has now reached over 25,000 downloads and achieved overwhelmingly positive with more than 1,000 reviews.
We’ve been reading each and every review and we hear you loud and clear; you want more. We have so many ideas for what that means and the development team is working hard to deliver you a complete experience with a focus on higher quality in all aspects while retaining the same exciting gameplay you all loved. This will likely be the only patch for this version of the game.
In addition to this patch, we’ve also released the Grimhook soundtrack for free, composed by Below Cloud Nine. You’re welcome to use these tracks in your own content as long as you give proper attribution. Enjoy!

Grimhook Patch Notes: April 2, 2024
Settings:
- Added settings to invert mouse X and Y axis.
- Added option in settings to disable tutorial prompts.
- Fixed issue causing settings to reset on player death.
- Added option in settings to disable subtitles.
- Added option in settings to disable tutorial videos.
Gameplay:
- Added difficulty options: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Grim.
- Decreased player health on normal difficulty.
- Increased Gunslinger spinning enemy weight and decreased combo-attack knockback.
- Fixed issue causing Gunslinger spinning enemy to survive being subdued.
- Fixed issue causing dive to teleport downwards after mantle or grapple.
- Slightly increased dive area of effect.
Miscellaneous:
- Fixed issue with some Kaia-Talia voice lines not using reverb.
- Fixed issues with some voice lines not properly ending when new lines play.
- Fixed issue causing voice lines to continue playing while the game is paused.
- Properly adjusted dive land sound effect volume.
- Fixed issue causing grapple lights to turn off in Junkyard area, locking progression.
- Fixed issue preventing wallrun from ending when running into objects.
- “Fixed” issue causing player to continue grappling after death.
- Fixed issue allowing player to interrupt cutscenes with weapon inspect, locking progression.
- Fixed issue preventing players from acquiring wallrun.
- Minor collision changes. (Sorry speedrunners!)
- Added a speedometer, toggleable in settings after completing the game.
