Temporal Anti Aliasing/DLSS/DLAA – No More Aliasing, Flickering v8.4.9 Mod Details
Temporal Anti Aliasing/DLSS/DLAA – No More Aliasing, Flickering v8.4.9 ETS2
Changes v8.4.9
– Improved ghosting for Temporal Anti Aliasing Rev.2
– Performance enhancements for Temporal Anti Aliasing Rev.2
– Added Temporal Anti Aliasing Rev.2 (testing DLAA alternative algorithm)
– Improved DLSS Quality, DLSS Balanced, DLSS Performance
TAA is a method used by modern games to eliminate jagged edges.
– TAA is fully implemented in ETS2/ATS.
– It doesn’t have a big impact on performance compared to other anti-aliasing methods.
– It is not just a post-processing effect that blurs the screen.
TAA (Temporal Anti Aliasing) replaces the default anti-aliasing method with TAA to reduce aliasing, flickering, and shimmering with minimal performance impact.
You can get rid of aliasing issues by setting the resolution scale to 100% in the game. This allows you to use the remaining GPU power for higher graphic settings or other purposes.
Supported Versions:
– ETS2: 1.49 – 1.48 – 1.47
– ATS: 1.49 – 1.48
Installation:
1. Go to the ETS2/ATS folder.
2. Navigate to the “binwin_x64” folder.
3. Copy and paste the dxgi.dll file and nvngx_dlss.dll (for DLSS).
4. Start the game with DirectX 11.
* Disable any other anti-aliasing methods (SMAA, MSAA, Nvidia Profile Inspector (NPI)), sharpen filters, and resolution scaling (only use in-game resolution scaling).
** If you encounter a black screen issue, disable HDR, reset the game config.cfg and settings in the NVIDIA/AMD control panel. Also, close the TAA menu after starting the game.
Settings:
– Press the “HOME” or “CTRL+P” keys to open the in-game menu.
– Rate = TAA application rate (9 default and recommended).
– Sharpness = Sharpen filter rate.
– T. SSAO = Anti-flickering solution for the inbuilt SSAO feature (use with in-game SSAO).
– T. Shadow = Anti-flickering solution for the inbuilt shadow feature.
***This method can be used for any other project that uses dxgi.dll.
Create a folder named “reshade” inside the “binwin_x64” folder.
Copy reshade files (dxgi.dll, ReShade.ini, ReShadePreset.ini, reshade-shaders) to the “binwin_x64reshade” folder.
Put TAA dxgi.dll into the “binwin_x64” folder.
Now you can play the game with TAA and ReShade.
***When ReShade is activated, use the “END” key for TAA instead of the “HOME” key.
Test Version:
– Latest test version of the TAA application. To use DLSS with NVIDIA GPUs, place the “nvngx_dlss.dll” file into the “binwin_x64” folder. If you already downloaded the “nvngx_dlss.dll” file, you don’t need to download it again with DLSS.
