This method requires you to have already completed the VNC Tower questline. This is a method of getting parkour XP with minimal effort, using the weird mechanics of the VNC Tower elevator. This method earns about 1800 XP per upward elevator cycle, without modifiers like XP bonus from gear or chase multiplier.
Location
Travel to the VNC Tower.
Access the elevator. The images below walk through the ground floor entrance.
Method
While the elevator is rising, you will jump and land more quickly. The player’s movement is always constant and has no inertia tied to moving objects like the elevator. Therefore, you can spam jump with benefit.
Jumping by itself will only generate about 1 xp per landing. In order to artificially create more distance, the player can spam crouch and jump, giving a decent amount of xp and letting them Afterboost with LShift, provided they have the skill unlocked. Each Afterboost provides additional xp.
The elevator takes a while to lower. As an option in the meantime, you could build up chase. It may be possible to get into the elevator with Chase Lvl 4, if the player is quick enough. This needs to be tested. Chase Lvl 2 runs out before the elevator button can be pressed. If you are riding the elevator down to repeat, there unfortunately isn’t much opportunity to earn xp.
Regardless, here is what you should do:
- Equip gear with parkour xp boosts.
- Enter the elevator at night and press the top-most button to take the elevator to the roof.
- While the elevator is rising, spam Jump, Crouch, and LShift (Afterboost Skill)
- Repeat
It’s pretty simple.
In one elevator cycle, you will earn ~1800 xp on average without modifiers and including bonuses. It takes ~1:25 for the elevator to reach the top from the ground floor. This probably isn’t the fastest method to get xp, but it’s one of the easiest. It could be interesting if you can get Chase Lvl 4 to persist in the elevator. Try and see and let us know if it works!
Thanks for reading through my first guide. I don’t know if I’ll make any more guides, but I appreciate any feedback or comments you might have!
