This guide will show you how to easily unlock and get all achievements in Die in the Dungeon: Origins.
Die in the Dungeon: Origins Achievements Guide
Shut Up!
Skip a Tutorial.
- Getting this achievement is super simple. Just go to Floor 1, choose “Tutorial,” and quickly skip it. That’s all you need to do!
Oath Breaker
Taste Defeat for the first time
- This achievement is really easy to get, and it’ll probably happen on its own. All you have to do is get defeated and die in the game, and then you’ll unlock the achievement. Easy peasy!
Shiny Artifact
Get your first Relic.
- Finding your first relic is a breeze! Look for it as a reward in events on floors 2 to 4. In these events, you’ll encounter three possibilities. To succeed, you’ll need to roll a dice, and if you have silver dice, use them to boost your chances. If not, basic boost and heal have better odds than attack and block. Additionally, there’s a surefire relic waiting for you as a reward on floor 6. So keep an eye out for that guaranteed treat!
Taste the Rainbow
Defeat all four Croissantpillar variants.
This achievement had a little hiccup at first, but it’s all good now! A couple of days after the release, the bug got fixed.
To bag this achievement, go on a hunt for four caterpillar variants:
- Orange
- Red
- Blue
- Green
Keep an eye out for them while playing. They pop up randomly quite often, and they’re not too tough – only 3 HP each. If you want to know more, check my compendium for the lowdown on these colorful critters!
Flashy Display
Defeat two enemies in a single turn.
Just like the title says, using flash dice is a simple trick to take down two enemies in one turn. Use flash to finish off one enemy, then direct your attack at the second one.
If you’re lucky enough to snag the super rare relic called Star Yo-Yo, you’re in for a treat. It lets your damage spill over to the next enemy, making multikills a breeze.
And don’t forget about relics with passive damage, like Toxic Cloud or Poisonous Skin. While a bit trickier, they can also lend a hand in scoring that satisfying multikill. Keep your eyes peeled for these helpful tools!
Now You’re Thinking With Mirrors
Combine a Prism Die with a Mirror Die.
Mirror dice are back, and here’s the scoop: they almost always roll a 6. So, the smart move is to place them at the end, where they can do the most damage.
Now, there’s a new kid on the block called Prism dice. These bad boys project the boost from the tile they’re on to their own targets. Here’s a nifty strategy for you: plant a Prism die on one end of the board and a Mirror on the opposite end. That way, you’re set up for success!
Scorpion Rideeer!
Defeat the Scorpion Rider.
Reaching floor 20 is a big deal, and here’s a guide to help you:
- First, make sure your deck isn’t overloaded. Keep it between 5 to 7 dice at most.
- Second, pick relics that work well together, creating a synergy. Look for ones that either keep you alive or increase your damage output.
- Finally, be strategic in blocking damage and defeating enemies. Check my compendium for details about different enemies.
When facing the Rider with 3 E’s, focus on a specific strategy:
- Start by targeting the Rider at the spot labeled “opening” on the board.
- Utilize Flash dice, as they are potent and can form effective synergies.
Now, let’s discuss some relics that can enhance your chances:
- The Mark of the Chosen relic is incredible for this battle. It multiplies your dice’s base damage by 3, providing a significant boost.
- Gold boost dice are valuable, capable of rolling 5’s and 6’s. These numbers have blind spots on the board, making it challenging for the Rider to be targeted with gold boost compared to silver.
- Bullseye is another potent relic. However, keep in mind that the Rider spot is more likely to be on an edge rather than the center two squares, affecting the effectiveness of Bullseye in this scenario.
When the rider gets shocked, certain weak points appear that make the scorpion take three times more damage. Target these spots to remove a big part of its health.
Defeating this boss is faster if you focus on quick kills instead of slowly reducing its health. Make sure your deck is powerful enough so that you only have to endure 1-2 rounds of attacks from the scorpion before it gets stunned.
That’s a Lotta Damage!
Inflict +100 damage with a single hit.
- During the boss battle or in endless mode, you can find chances to inflict more than 100 damage. Enhance a specific spot by utilizing terrain – boost dice enhance terrain, and the unpolished shards relic works well with glass terrain.
- The Mark of the Chosen One and Bullseye relics come with multipliers that impact both the terrain dice and the attack dice you use right after. These relics can significantly amplify your damage output during the game.
Fancy Collector
Show Very Rare Dice to The Collector.
- The collector event typically shows up in later floors, around 16-19, and may also appear in endless mode. When facing the collector, display a terrain die, prism die, and mirror die. Each of these receives a x3 multiplier, enabling you to reach the needed 18 value.
- It’s important to note that actively seeking the collector may be necessary, as having too many “special” dice can overcrowd your hand and potentially result in a less effective build.
Tales Will Be Written
Reach Floor 50 on Endless Mode.
After defeating the Scorpion Boss, proceed to endless mode. Every 5 floors, the phase increases, adding to the enemy’s base health and attack values. Ensure that your deck remains relatively small, with around 5-7 dice, and resist the temptation to add unnecessary elements.
In endless mode, prioritize Flash and Hollow as they are the most valuable modifiers. With a robust deck, you can easily clear floors on the first turn. Although you’ll have the chance to acquire most relics, be cautious of those with obvious drawbacks. Notable relics to avoid include Blindfold of Rage, Liquid Karma, and Crimson Blade due to their unfavorable effects.
