As you play through the game, you’ll realize there are some unique frames with a unique bonus that you can acquire only once. There is, however, a way to duplicate them.
Create a Custom Blueprint of your weapon with the unique frame
Make sure you have a lot of resources before you begin.
First, go to the bench, open the weapon crafting view, then select your weapon with the equipped frame. Then, create a blueprint. This will allow you to create a duplicate version of your weapon, with all the same attachments. This is the same solution that allows you to duplicate unique weapons (such as the Devil Horns).
Then come back to the main view of the bench and open the blueprints to craft a duplicate of your weapon.
If you don’t have enough resources to create a perfect duplicate of your weapon, remove all the attachments, circuits, the lower tool and put the default upper tip before creating the schematic. This way, you only have to worry about the weapon frame and upper tool.
Here comes the magic part
Now you have two weapons with a unique frame, but you still can’t craft it.
Now, the trick here is to:
- Dismantle the newly crafted weapon entirely.
- Return to the blueprints.
- Recraft the same weapon again with the blueprint you created previously. Since you already have all the required parts from dismantling the weapon, it should cost you 0 resources.
- Now, return to the weapon crafting view and check the list of available frames.
- The unique frame can now be crafted for resources like any other frame.
If you want, you can also dismantle your main weapon without crafting a duplicate. It also works. Just make sure you create a blueprint beforehand.
I found out about this accidentally as I was doing something that I read on Dead Space Fandom Wikia. People suggested over there to create a blueprint of your Devil Horns and Planetcracker Plasma Cutter because they both contain parts that cannot be crafted. And if you accidentally dismantle them, the only way to fix them is to craft a new one using the blueprints.
That's everything we are sharing today for this Dead Space 3 guide. This guide was originally created and written by Clockwork. In case we fail to update this guide, you can find the latest update by following this link.
