For those using an AZERTY keyboard layout, configuring it in Cyberpunk 2077 can seem quite difficult. This guide should help you configure it by just replacing one configuration file.
In short, what you’ll be doing is replacing the inputUserMappings.xml file in your SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\r6\config folder with one where the mappings have been updated to work with an AZERTY keyboard.
Preferably you’ll make a backup of the existing file before doing that, just in case, but since a .xml file is just plain text, you’ll be able to see all the changes as you do them.
The inputUserMappings.xml Content
The new inputUserMappings.xml file can be found in one of the following locations:
Copy or download either of them and name them inputUserMappings.xml or something similar.
How to Use
- In a File explorer, find your SteamLibrary folder and from there navigate to SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\r6\config
- Copy the inputUserMappings.xml file so you have a backup (eg. copy/paste in the same folder)
- Copy the file you previously downloaded with the AZERTY mapping to this folder, overriding the inputUserMappings.xml file
- Start Cyberpunk 2077 and test your new mapping
