Counter-Strike 2 – Console Commands Cheat Codes for Practice

This guide shows you how to begin practice mode without bots and with limitless time, money, and bullets. This lets you learn the map and try different things. For example, you can practice recoil patterns on different guns, tweak your crosshair, or get to know the map better.

How to Enable Developer Console

To turn on the developer console, follow these simple steps:

1. Go to the Settings menu.
2. Choose the Game option.
3. Enable the developer console by selecting “YES.”

Now, to open the console, press the tilde (~) key. You can find this key located to the left of the number 1 on your keyboard and just below the ESCAPE key.

How to Enter Practice Mode and Change Map

You can enter practice mode right from the main menu. Alternatively, you can use a command to do it:

To enter practice mode directly:

• Use the command: launch_warmup_map

Regardless of what some guides may say, adding a map name to the command won’t work. It always loads Mirage. However, you can change the map using the following command:

• changelevel map_name

Here’s a list of current CS2 maps:

• de_ancient
• de_anubis
• de_dust2
• de_inferno
• cs_italy
• de_mirage
• de_nuke
• cs_office
• cs_vertigo

There are also some CS2 specific map names. To use them, just add “_vanity” to the end of the map name, like this:

• de_ancient_vanity

So, for example, to change the map to Inferno, the full command would be:

• changelevel de_inferno

How to Pause, Kick Bots, Add Time, and Buy

To Pause the match:

• Use the command: mp_pause_match

To Unpause the match:

• Use the command: mp_unpause_match

Please note: You can only pause the match before the round starts. If the round has already begun, the command won’t work and will take effect at the start of the next round.

To Kick Bots on the Terrorist side:

• Use the command: bot_kick t

To Kick Bots on the Counter-Terrorist side:

• Use the command: bot_kick ct

Repeat these commands until there are no bots left in the game.

To Change the Round Time:

• Use the command: mp_roundtime_defuse 60;mp_roundtime_hostage 60;mp_roundtime 60;mp_restartgame 1

You can adjust the time as needed. An hour (60 minutes) should be more than enough. You can also repeat this command to quickly restart the match.

To Buy items from anywhere:

• Use the command: mp_buy_anywhere 1;mp_buytime 60000

These commands will help you have control over your game and adjust settings as necessary.

Extras and Cheats

For some extra features and cheats, here’s what you can do:

To give yourself the maximum money possible:

• Use the command: mp_startmoney 16000

Regardless of the number you enter, the maximum money you can get is 16000. After doing this, you must restart the match using: mp_restartgame 1

To enable cheats, which include things like unlimited ammo, adding ammo, getting weapons, or using noclip, you first need to enable cheat mode. Don’t worry, using these commands won’t get you VAC banned, as they are designed for in-game use. They won’t work in online games unless the server has them enabled (official servers usually have them disabled).

To enable cheat mode:

• Use the command: sv_cheats 1

And for infinite ammo:

• Use the command: sv_infinite_ammo 1

These commands will give you more control and fun options during your game.

Additional Notes and Tips

Here are some additional notes and tips for using cheats and the console in the game:

• Cheat Mode Error: If you encounter an error that cheats cannot be enabled, it may be because the “open party” option is selected. To resolve this, go to PLAY > PRACTICE and disable “open party” on the left side. Then launch a map via practice.
• Console Auto-Complete: The console has an auto-complete feature. If you type something you think is correct, it will suggest commands. For example, if you type “noclip,” it will show you the available commands for using noclip.
• Ammo: To access different types of ammo, just type “ammo” in the console, and it will provide you with a list of available ammo types that you can spawn.
• Command History: In the console, you can use the up and down arrow keys to quickly browse between previously entered commands. This works similarly to how command line interfaces in Windows and Linux operate.
