Tool Durability
Hello dear reader,
In Megamod 9, main blacksmiths propose a bunch of tools. The maintainer has works hard to harmonize product in the mod, but it’s remain hard to know which tool is the best. Even if we can guess the quality of the tool with the recipe components, we can not know exactly the accurate impact of durability.
In the past, I found a topic on the net with the use of some tools available in Megamod. I am no longer able to find these infos.
So I had evaluated each tool to give them a durability index. Please confer to chapter Assessment to get detail of my asset process.
Please find below the tool list ordered from the weakest to the strongest :

Let me explain how I determined the durability index specified in the column “Durability”.
As I known the quarries and mines are tool consummers, I had the idea to use the quarries to evaluated the lifetime of tools.
I used the debug tool to perform my assessments :
1.) I popped up 4 citizens (number set by the debug tool). They comes without tools and clothers, but they are educated.
2.) For these citizens, I desabled, hunger, cold effect, death. With these settings, they can focused on their works.
3.) I used a warehouse to store all differents tools.
4.) I placed 4 Tiny Quarry, one for each citizen by settings 1 room by quarry (max is 4)
5.) I moved 4 tools (same tool for each citizen) to storage barn.
6.) They have all picked one tool to fit the missing one.
7.) I set the 4 citizens as stonecutter
8.) I ran the game in speed x10
9.) I noted the number of stones extracted from the Quarry one their tool brokes
10.) I repeated the process with 4 new citizen for the next tool.
So for each tool, the durability is expressed in “Stone extracted from Tiny Quarry”.
