I’ve had quite the challenge trying to obtain the “Leave No One Behind” achievement in this game. After running through the game three times and almost completing all the achievements (which is only the second time I’ve managed to do so), I found myself frustrated by my inability to unlock this particular achievement. However, on my fourth playthrough, I was determined to conquer it once and for all. I ensured that I followed the Tieflings’ path meticulously. Just in case, I decided to document every step of my journey, as I was prepared to seek answers on the forums if needed. Nevertheless, I managed to successfully complete it, and I take pride in this accomplishment. So, I decided to share my final journey to help those who are interested or facing similar difficulties with this challenging achievement.
Obtaining the “Leave No One Behind” achievement occurs at the beginning of the credits, which means you’ll need to review your entire save history to pinpoint where you may have made a mistake.
Game Setup (For those curious):
- For this playthrough, I chose Shadowheart, Lae’zel, and Karlach as my companions.

- Successfully saved everyone at the Goblin hideout without any friendly casualties.
- Kept Kagha’s identity as a shadow druid a secret.
- Rescued Halsin and brought him with you to Act 2 to save the Shadow-Cursed Lands.
- Chose the Grymforge route to bypass the forced creche storyline with Lae’zel.
- Formed alliances with Jaheira and interacted with all the Tieflings at Last Light Inn, including Bex, Dammon, Cerys, Alfira, Rolan, and the children (Mol, Mattis, Umi, Ide, Mirkon).
- Activated the “Save the Tieflings” quest.
- Successfully saved everyone during the kidnapping attempt with Marcus.
- Rescued Rolan from his failed rescue attempt.
- Met Arabella at the House of Healing and located her parents, informing her about it at the camp.

- Spoke with all the rescued parties to complete their respective quests, including Bex, Cerys, Alfira & Lakrissa, Rolan, Cal & Lia, Barcus & Wulbren.

- Saved Thaniel and merged him with Oliver.
- Showed mercy to the Nightsong.

- Returned to Last Light Inn, where Danis, Lakrissa, Cal, Lia, and Mirkon were the only ones present, and didn’t engage in lengthy conversations.
- Spoke with Arabella once more at the camp.
- Engaged in conversations with all the Tieflings in the refugee camp, including the kids (Umi & Ide), Zorru, Cerys, Bex, Danis, and Mirkon and Mattis by the donations barn.
- Investigated and eliminated Arfur and discovered the suspicious toys in the barn.
- Camped in Wyrm’s Crossing and found a letter from Arabella.
- Spoke with Lakrissa in the Elfsong Tavern and Alfira on the roof of the tavern.
- Interacted with Silfy in Heapside Strand.
- Held a conversation with Mol in the Guildhall.
- Completed the “High Harper” questline with Jaheira to ensure the safety of the Guild during the Zhentarim attack.
- Spoke with Rolan in Sourcerous Sundries and initiated the Nightsong storyline with Lorroakan.
- Brought Dame Aylin to confront Lorroakan and engaged in combat.
- Communicated with Rion while having Jaheira in your party and requested her assistance for the refugees.
- Successfully saved the Guild from the Zhentarim, prioritizing Mol’s survival.
- Had a conversation with Mol, although it appeared she didn’t realize she had just been attacked or might have suffered a concussion, as she discussed the same topics as earlier.
- Rescued Orpheus, leading to him transforming into a mind flayer.
- Chose not to employ Zevlor and his Hellriders during the raid up to the Netherbrain.
Your thorough approach should serve you well in your quest to achieve the “Leave No One Behind” achievement. Keep up the good work, and continue making choices that prioritize the safety and well-being of the characters in the game.
