Are having a hard time beating Miria in 9 Years of Shadows? In this guide, we will be showing you some of the best strategies and tricks that you can use to beat this boss in the game.
Phase 1
Stay close to the middle of the arena. Your charged water attack reaches almost halfway across. To use it repeatedly, reset it by ducking after spinning.
The extended range of the water attack shields you from guard-attacks. Keep spamming it for defense.
Phase 2
- Use a thumbstick for control; I switched after using a pad throughout the entire game. It helps with ducking during jumps and while running.
- Ensure you have space to retreat from tall wave strikes while jumping. During the back-and-forth exchange, you’ll usually be in an optimal position to evade the waves, even the ducking ones. Prepare to switch sides swiftly.
- Avoid attacking when shields are at zero. Endure until the waves cease.
- Only approach the bear when the boss attacks at the center of the stage again.
- Utilize your shields to take shots at the boss while evading the waves.
- Time the “activeshieldreload” while ducking under a wave.
- Taking the phase slowly allows you to monitor your shield levels better and plan for the activereload.
The rest depends on luck. Some attacks are relentless and unavoidable. But maintaining a slow and steady pace is key to victory.
