The developer of Xenoids has released a new update for the game on April 13, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam. 

Hello everyone. Xenoids update to version 0.25 is already available.
In this update, new mechanics, items and enemies have been added to the game, balance and optimization have been improved, and known bugs have been fixed.
List of changes:

1. Added new effects mechanics. Now, under certain circumstances, a character can get a negative or positive effect affecting his abilities and characteristics.
2. A medic can now create Psychostimulants. Under the influence of these drugs, the character gains the temporary ability to see enemies through walls.
3. The Engineer now has access to the drawing of the Fire Turret.
4. The new Kamikaze xenoid. Explodes next to the character, applying the effect of “Toxic pollution” and leaves a toxic puddle.
5. The new Xenoid Spitter. Attacks from a distance by applying the effect of “Toxic pollution”. Sets traps in the form of toxic puddles.
6. To remove the “Toxic pollution” effect, shower cabins are used, which can now be found on almost all decks.
7. When using the workbench in the observatory, resources from the storage are now available. There is no longer a need to move the necessary resources from storage to inventory first.
8. Now the outgrowth blocking the door can be destroyed with melee weapons and a kick. This solves the problem of blocking the only exit.
9. Added acceleration of scrolling the map when pressing the left Shift.
10. Solved the problem of a random shot when completing some puzzles.
11. The problem with the character popping out of the locker while typing in the chat has been solved.
12. Fixed a bug that caused the elevator to not work after loading the save in the online game.
13. Fixed bugs that caused text localization to fail in places.
14. Added French (Beta)
15. Slightly improved optimization.
16. Other minor improvements and fixes.
