- Patch Title: Warplanes: WW1 Fighters – graphics update is now available
- Patch Release Date: April 5, 2024
The developer of Warplanes: WW1 Fighters has released a new update for the game on April 5, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam.
We continue to improve Warplanes: WW1 Fighters, which has been a huge success thanks to a great community.
Our goal is to improve the entire Warplanes trilogy. Each game has taught us something. We try to utilize gained experience retroactively, updating older titles and implementing features we developed more recently. We don’t want any group of fans to feel left behind. We strive to ensure that fans of WW1 Fighters, Battles over Pacific and Air Corp have the best experience possible.
This time, the changes mainly focus on graphics. As you have noticed the build weighs more. That’s thanks to high-resolution terrain textures and new trees, so you’ll be dogfighting over better-looking, more diverse terrain. Subtle tweaks in lighting should improve the overall graphics quality.
Terrain generation has been improved, making it smoother. We’ve improved the look of cities by replacing textures and adding new buildings.
Changelog:
● New hi-res terrain and tree textures.
● Dynamics shadows on player planes.
● Improved lighting.
● Improved cities – new buildings and textures.
● Takeoffs and landings physics tweaks.
● Adjustment of several airplanes specs.
● Various bug fixes and improvements.
We hope that you’ll enjoy the changes. Until next time pilots!
