About Promotions on the Job

Tip #1 Don’t forget to do your DAILY TASKS to work towards promotion.

Tip #2 In order to build your promotion bar faster, select “Work Hard”, but it has drawbacks so use it only when needed. Also, if you are the only member of the house, the game will increase speed because no one else is at home (similar to sleeping). Be prepared to Pause or slow the game in order to maximize the effect of “Work Hard”

Tea Magic Personal BrewerThis Wonderful item is located in the Kitchen – Appliances build items. It gives a +2 to the Mood of your choosing.

Honorable Mention goes to:Emotional Paintings – Flirty, Playful, Confident, Focused

Emotional Woodworking – Flirty, Playful, as well as Angry, Sad (Why?)

You must select the item and “Enable” the Aura effects. Be careful about having overlapping Auras in a single room.

Paintings and Woodworking items are decorations that you create. They will be in your inventory and you can place them into the world. Great for making a Room create a certain Mood.

Get Happy!

Happiness Adds to other other moods. So +4 Happy and +4 Inspired will lead to VERY Inspired.

HAPPY

• Cheerful trait for yourself +1 at times, Happy and Loyal traits when around others with the same trait. Great for Roommate households +1
• Decorations in the room which you are currently in +1-3
• Eating good quality meals +1-3
• Having Needs (Hunger, Bladder, etc) at or near full – +1/2
• Listening to Music from a Radio (click the Radio, select Listen, then go about your business Make sure your Sim has a Favorite Radio Station ) +1
• Healthy Green Tea +2
• Handiness Lv4 Upgrades Fresh Maker on Fridge, Bidet on Toilet, Auto Soap Dispenser on Sink +1 each on use (Men don’t always benefit from Bidet because they don’t always sit down)

For Best results, Put your own MP3 music files into the Documents\ElectronicArts\Sims4\CustomMusic\XYZ123

XYZ123 being the Radio Station you selected as your Favorite.

If the folders haven’t been created, Run the Game, Open the Game Options Settings, Music. Play at least one song from each station. Exit the Game to Save. Move your MP3’s into the newly created folder of your favorite music station. You can then deselect the songs (in the game options menu again) so that you are only listening to your music.

Get Confident

• Brush Teeth (use a Sink) +1

Tip#1 You can put the food in your inventory and then Go to the Gym. Just make sure it doesn’t spoil before you eat it.

Tip #2 Place a TV screen in front of a treatmill (like they have at the Gyms) change channel to sports and be constantly Energized

• Try Out Outfits (at a Dresser or Wardrobe) +1
• Steamy Ginseng Tea +2
• Research Pickup Lines (Computer – Web – Research) +1
• Cook while “Flirty” and Make Heart Cookies +1
• Mixology Lv1 create Cupid’s Juice while Flirty +1
• Flirty Statues(Woodworking) and Paintings (Painter, obviously)

Tip#1 Heart Cookies and Cupid Juice are great items to make for your date/spouse to put them in a Flirty Mood. So make some and “Call for meal”

• Build Chess Table – Play Chess and Ponder Moves +1
• Build and then Use an Observatory +1
• Study Fossils (found Trophy) +1

Cooking cannot be sold.

Handiness is a good skill to have for repairing and upgrading. Don’t forget you can order parts directly from a computer instead of relying on rummaging through the garbage.

Picking activities that you “Like” during character creation will increase your “Fun” bar while you perform a task. This is where i tend to spend a lot of points.

Especially a favorite Radio Station! The Perfectionist trait. Maybe not the best starter trait, but if you respec into it later after your crafting skills are maxed out you will get some impressive returns. To do this, Visit the Rewards Store and purchase the Re-Traiting Potion which costs 5,000 satisfaction points.

On Finding Collectibles – Sylvan Glade and Forgotten Grotto (with Level 10 Handiness) These areas have a higher chance of Rares, and some items will ONLY spawn there. Look around your neighborhoods for sparkles! These can reset so be sure to check after collecting them.
