The developer of The Lands of Hyberian has released a new update for the game on April 8, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam.
New Releases:
- New level available West Goldencoast.
- New level available East Goldencoast Phase 1 Boss (Phase 2 White Screen – Unbeatable).
- 5 New achievements.
- Level cap raised to 13.
- 2 side quests key rewards (Bronze key, and Silver key). The Gold key is not obtainable until another side quest is developed, and the 3 keys will be required to access a 4th side quest which will take place in the Roseyard (not yet developed).
Additional fixes:
- Fixed issue where holding down attack spell button looked like it was fast forwarding combat. Added a slight cooldown when holding attack button while in combat.
- Fixed an issue where the mute icon on main map drastically delayed loading on game start.
- Fixed an issue where some in-game achievement popups didn’t show.
- Fixed Prison Chambers to not clear helpful info if player attacks target instead of using wand spell or revive spell.
- Lock pick removed from the beginning of Castle Doors, and added when revisiting.
- Adjust resolution and scaling moved to the first item on the escape screen.
Future:
Originally planned as one big update but the decision has been set to split 0.9.0 update and release the West Goldencoast early.
With more feedback, creates more ambition. The following have been delayed due to more testing, planned revamps, and new planned NPC implementation. Here is the next planned update list (not counting any additional required fixes/patches of glitches or feedback discovery).
- Full screen revamp of the in-game map.
- Full screen revamp of the journal (quest log).
- In development West Dunes
- In development The Roseyard
- In development The Ghostlands
- More achievements.
- Level cap to be raised to 16.
- In development new main quests.
- In development new side quest (planned more NPC interaction).
- In development new story boards, continue the story with new dialogue and quests from the King, Queen, and the Knights Squire.

- In development new shop with dialogue.
- In development new items in the shop that will help progression.
