Granilems, a golem-like enemy, drop Clay Fragments. These fragments can be used for a variety of crafting purposes, but they are only dropped by this one enemy type (and one specific gigant zeugal called the Flamewrecker), so you may miss out if you don’t fight enough Granilems while progressing through the main story.
