Lists of every possible crafting recipe for the mana and skill tomes you unlock after increasing your mining level, to help you get the mastery achievements faster.

Introduction

Once your mining level is high enough, you’re able to craft tomes of mana, and tomes of skill; if you decide to unlock those perks with your skill points.

What do I need that for? Can’t I just level up to get all the skill points? Why would I need a tome for it?

Well, you cannot go past level 70 in your skills, so you will need tomes or elixrs to get every single skill point, eventually. If you don’t want them all that’s fine, but you need them all in every skill if you want to get those master achievements that are available for steam. I know I need them, so I decided to write this guide to help others know what resources to start hoarding!

Why does there need to be a guide for this…? Can’t I just unlock the perks and then look at the ingredients myself?

Well, the problem with that is the ingredients for every craftable tome change each day, and you can also only craft one of each a day. There’s many different ingredients that could pop up for each, and believe me, I tried to see if it was just certain ingredients for each day of the week; but once the next week came, the ingredients were different. So, it’s random.

Does this guide include every possible ingredient for each thing?

Unfortunately not yet. The wiki was wrong on some, (for example, it said 12 dorado, but that’s never appeared for me; however, 10 dorado plus 10 duorado has.) And the wiki also doesn’t list how many you need of each thing, except for whatever the first ingredient they list is, and even that is wrong…. so here is a fresh list! It’s a work in progress until I’m certain I got it all, but I decided to publish now and edit as I find more, so that you can start your hoarding now. If you figure out more possible ingredients before me that aren’t here yet, feel free to comment so I can add it! Thanks in advance!

Tomes of Mana

So far, these are the possible ingredients I have observed for the mana tomes:

– 999 Stone
– 270 Stone
– 27 Adamant ore
– 24 coal
-23 coal
– 45 iron ore
-14 Sapphire
-18 Gold ore

I notice with skill tomes too 999 stone can also be a requirement. I have seen only 27 adamant ore be required for the mana tomes on multiple occasions so I am not yet certain if it’s always 27 or if it changes; because with coal I have seen both 23 and 24. Same goes for stone; every tome can have the possibility of being 999 stone, but there’s also 270 for the mana ones, so I have no idea if that fluctuates as well like the coal. Once I figure it out though I will update the guide to say if it’s set numbers or if they change, as I observe the ingredients for several more weeks.

Tomes of Farming

Thankfully the ingredients for these seem to be available in any season; but you’re gonna need to grind for these if you want to be getting the tomes on most days. I recommend making tomes after you’re done with the main story of the game on at least one of your characters, because this will take a lot of time and days to achieve, so don’t let it distract you from enjoying the story. I can’t tell you how to play though obviously, so here are the ingredients I’ve observed so far:

-999 Stone
-90 Carrots
-120 wheat
-90 Tomatoes
-90 Onions
-80 Lettuce

I think it’s safe to assume potatoes are also a possible ingredient, probably 80 or 90 like the other any-season crops. So don’t be shy, go buy some seeds and plant as many as you can for when you need them!

Tomes of Exploration

These are the ones I’m currently grinding so I can get them out of the way. I recommend having a large orchard for these ones, since those will be your main source of collecting ingredients for these. Of course other forageables will be needed as well sometimes, but if you have a ton of fruit, chances are you’ll easily make tomes most days. So far I’ve gathered that you need these ingredients:

-999 Stone
-100 Apples
-80 Strawberries
-40 Seaweed
-40 Sand dollars
-40 Mushrooms
-600 Wood
-80 Blueberries
-100 Oranges

I think it is safe to assume 80 raspberries and peaches may also be required some days. If this is true I will update of course, but basically, make sure to hoard all that fruit instead of selling it if you’ve already eaten lots of each! And clean up those beaches!

Tomes of Mining

Ever go into the mines and think “what am I supposed to do with all this junk??”?
HOARD IT if you don’t need it! Here are the possible ingredients I’ve discovered so far for mining tomes:

-999 Stone
-90 Adamant ore
-60 Coal
-80 Iron ore
-50 Sapphires
-75 gold ore

I believe it’s safe to assume copper ore is also a possible ingredient, probably 75-100 when looking at the other ores. But It’s not a certainty yet- I will update when I come across it, if at all. I also foresee other ores and gems being a possibility as well- so I will update when that time comes for me.

Tomes of Combat

Tired of just selling a bunch of monster loot you can’t do much with? Hoard it. To craft tomes of combat, here’s what I have discovered so far.

-999 Stone
-80 Bug Shells
-80 lighting bottles
-80 hot sauce
-80 prickletot pears

Bug shells appeared a lot for me so I don’t know if it was just my luck or if they’re just a common ingredient needed. Again, I will update as I find more out. Slay away!

Tomes of Fishing

Here are the fishing ingredients you’ll need to hoard instead of sell so far.

-999 Stone
-2 devilfin
-10 dorado AND 10 duorado
-20 sea bass
-2 angelfin
-2 gold boots AND 4 old boots

So, don’t sell these!
