General Gameplay Steps

The way I usually play to have 100% confidence of dealing with the final boss is to collect as many crystals as possible. There are a couple of items in the game that can help you with this. Add them to your runs in the Experience Well and try looking for them as early as possible when you play:

Hunter Helmet
Not the quickest when it comes to collecting extra crystals, but can go a long way if it’s picked up early in the game. Buy it from the first shop if it’s available and give it to your damage dealing hero.
4-Leaf Clover
I wasn’t picking this up initially, but I noticed a significant improvement in the drops when this gets to level 3, so it’s pretty useful. Can also be picked up early.
Greed Egg
Pretty straightforward, it gives you a lot of crystals after some battles, I automatically pick this up when I see it. Just make sure you have an extra item slot that you don’t need for one of your heroes.
Roulette Wheel
This is a great item for farming crystals, and on the plus side, if you’re lucky you can get some extra items that you would’ve purchased from the shop anyway. Really strong on level 3 against 4-5 enemies due to the 100% drop chance. If you don’t have enough inventory space for all items you get from this, you can quickly sell the first ones before the rest appears.
Crypto Wallet
This is the best item for farming huge quantities of Crystals. If you have over 200 Crystals, this becomes extremely strong on level 3. I always have one of these on my tank.

The other strategy I usually follow is making one of my heroes deal a ton of damage, while an other one is becoming the tank. While the damage dealing hero attacks from far away, I use my tank to just run around and make all enemies follow it. Here are the items that I like to give to my two heroes:

Damage dealing

Training Weights
This is the first item I’m looking for in a shop. If you pick this up before the first fights, your damage dealing hero can scale up really quickly.
Fairy Wings
The original hero always walks close to enemies to cast its skill, if you place this item in the first slot of a hero’s inventory, it turns into a fairy with huge range, both for auto attacks and skill casting. This makes things easier, since I only have to focus on my tank’s movement while the fairy kills everything from afar.
Blood Orb
This turns your hero into a life stealing blood mage if you use it in the first slot. This can also be used for a tank, it’s just a great item all around, the only downside is that it’s legendary so it’s expensive to get to level 3.

Tank

Weird Rock
This item turns the hero into a walking rock when used in the first slot. The hero gains a huge amount of armor and magic resistance plus a defensive skill. The only downside is its slow movement speed, so dodging enemy skills is more difficult. Overall, this is strong for a second, tanking hero.
Father’s Bone
I don’t always go for this item because of its high price, but giving your hero essentially double health is really strong. I added it here as an honorable mention.

Apart from these items, there’s 3 overpowered ones, which should be used in every run after they’re unlocked. They give you stats based on the number of crystals you’re holding. These are game changers:

Imbued Scepter
On level 3, with 200 crystals this makes your hero cast a skill every second and the casting animation also becomes instantaneous. If that’s not enough, it also gives your skill so much damage, you pretty much kill everything with one shot. Plus, it’s a common item – neat.
Imbued Claymore
Gives your hero attack speed and damage based on your crystal amount. Makes your hero so strong, it kills all enemies with 3-4 attacks with insane speed. The only reason I usually go for the scepter instead of this is the rarity.
Imbued Armor
Which tank wouldn’t want 100s or armor and magic resistance from one item? Give this to all of your tanks if you have the budget. The only downside is its epic rarity, but it’s still worth the crystals.

Make sure the first place you visit is a Shop and get some items right away that slowly make you stronger starting from the first fight. After that the general plan is to reach all Treasure Rooms in time and collect crystals. In some cases I managed to get 6-700 crystals in my inventory at once. Just make sure you leave a Shop and/or Lake for the last places so that you can spend all your crystals.

That’s it, good luck! Check out the map and shop related sections to learn some tricks there as well.

Map Navigation

Identifying what the places hide on the map is relatively simple. You can count the number of places with the same color to figure out all of them, except for the Lakes and the Treasure Rooms. The trick with those is to check which color has a place at the last column – that will always be a Treasure Room.

Example map with details

Common Battle
Count is 18.
Elite Battle
Count is 6.
Shop
Count is 5, a shop is always available in the first column.
Treasure Room
Count is 3, last one can be found in the last column, right before the boss.
Lake
Count is 3, since Treasure Room was found, this is obvious.

Shop Tier List

This list shows the chances of getting different rarities of items for every tier of the shop. This can help you decide when to stop upgrading the shop if you’re looking for a specific rarity of item.

Tier 1

Tier 2 – Cost: 4 Crystals

Tier 3 – Cost: 6 Crystals

Tier 4 – Cost: 9 Crystals

Tier 5 – Cost: 15 Crystals

Tier 6 – Cost: 22 Crystals

  • 2. Hero: 20 Crystals

  • 4. Hero: 120 Crystals

Buying all heroes costs 198 crystals overall.
