Getting Started
First, go to your world settings. Make sure creature damage is set to 30. If you’re up for a tougher challenge, increase it to 50. Set creature health to 40 for standard difficulty, or crank it up to 60 for a more challenging experience. Once that’s set, load up your world.
Before heading to raid the Nest, gather some essential items. Start by acquiring tier 4 armor, which includes the Ironwing, bone, and pyrite sets. If you already have one of these, well done for being proactive! Next, you’ll need the pyrite greatsword (I’ll provide a guide on how to obtain this in the future). If you already possess it, then congrats! You’re all set to go!
Battle Strategy
Once you’ve gathered all the items mentioned above, it’s time for the ultimate showdown… THE BLUE TIT! Head to the jungle gym located east of the broken bridge. Ignore the Aether camp on the ground level. Just roam around in the open, and sooner or later, you’ll grab its attention.
When the Blue Tit swoops down to peck at you, dash in immediately and start swinging your weapon as if your life depended on it. Eventually, it’ll go down. It’s usually around level 70 and has two attacks: a basic peck where it strikes with its beak, noticeable by it pulling its head back, and a ground pound where it lifts itself with its wings and slams down (beak first, obviously). Neither of these attacks can be blocked.
After the intense battle, the Blue Tit will reward you with a ton of XP and drop about 3 bones and 6 feathers. Be sure to grab those feathers as they’ll be crucial for crafting armor and weapons later in the game. Head up to the Blue Tit nest, and you’ll discover a surprise that makes the entire adventure worthwhile.
Useful Tips and Tricks
I recommend avoiding areas with stinkbugs when facing the Blue Tit. These pesky bugs can poison you, which can quickly turn the tables against you. I’ve learned this the hard way through experience.
Additionally, steer clear of Aetherin Camps during the fight. You’d expect them to focus on battling a creature like the Blue Tit, but nope, they still target you.
It’s also wise to pick a Blue Tit with a nest that’s easy to access. This makes it simpler to reach the treasure inside, although the fight itself can still be quite challenging.
