I want to share my experience with playing Khemri on legendary, especially the first turns so you have a good start to their campaign.

Vez 1

Attack and occupy The Salt Plain with Settra. One note I want to add already is that if you want to fish for a certain follower you could go ahead and instead sack this settlement and the other Top Knotz settlements, however this will sligthly alter this guide so I will assume we occupy all the settlements.

Recrutar 1 Skeleton Chariot and 2 Skeleton Archers. Queue the remaining 2 skeleton archers and fill the other unit slots with skeleton spearmen.

Build a Charnel Plaza in Khemri.

Now for The Dynasties/Research. This choice is not set in stone (ha ha) but I will give my recommendations:

Want to buff your skeleton archers? Go for the Second Dynasty.

Want to build up your economy and settlements faster? Go for the Third Dynasty.

Want to buff your Ushabti? Go for the Sixth Dynasty first for the technologies you unlock, then go Fourth Dynasty for the Lord that actually has bonuses for Ushabti.

Vez 2

Demolish the Bone Shaper building in Khemri.

Vez 3

Construct Open Graves in Khemri, Skeleton Archer will be your main damage dealer in the early game and constructing a military building now will also complete one of your Missions.

Settra should gain his first level now, getting Lightning Strike as early as possible is never a bad thing, but you could also consider getting Sun-Scorched Bones to buff your Skeleton Spearmen and later your Tomb Guards.

Vez 4-6

Nothing happens on Turn 4, Skeleton Spearmen should still be recruiting from the queue.

On turn 5 the Top Knotz should start raiding you, do not worry about them and keep recruiting Spearmen.

Vez 6 is where all the magic happens. It begins with Top Knotz attacking The Salt Plains, this should be an easy autoresolve with only your Skeleton Warriors dying, which you dont want anyway. For post battle loot, go either Endless March for the money, or Harvest Organs for the Canopic Jars, you can never have enough of both even though you do not spend any money on recruiting or upkeep.

You should now be given “A Choice of Servants” if you are playing singeplayer, this is the important part, you need to Call upon the Necrotect. When you have him you need to either Embedd him in Settras army or damage the walls of the Black Pyramid of Nagash.

Now you should have unlocked the Great Incantation of Ptra, perform the rite right away and move this special Necrotect to Zandri to Colonise ruins, this will take 2 voltas.

Finally move Settra towards Gor Gazan, mesclar 2 pairs of Skeleton Spearmen with each other if you autoresolved and recruit 2 more skeleton archers and 1 Skeleton Spearman to fill your stack.

Vez 7

Colonise Zandri with your special Necrotect. Build Desert lookout, Charnel Plaza and the Bone Wharf in it. Go ahead and Issue the Worship of Phakth Commandment in the Land of the Dead.

Attack and occupy Gor Gazan with Settra, this should be another easy autoresolve except if they have built a garrison building, in that case you will have to fight manually. Demolish whatever the building in Gor Gazan is. Merge more Spearmen with each other and recruit fresh ones if needed.

Now you should have Population Surplus in the Lands of the Dead, Upgrade Khemri to Khemri (Mastaba)

Keep leveling Settra the way you want him and your necrotect.

Vez 8

Attack and occupy Galbaraz, again this should be a easy auto-resolve without any loss of units. Galbaraz should have a Open Graves, build Charnel Plaza in Gor Gazan.

Upgrade your Bone Wharf in Zandri to a Grave Port.

Issue either Worship of Phakth or Worship of Asaph in Southern Badlands.

Vez 9 e em diante

Parabéns! Top Knotz are dead and you have 2 provinces under your belt with a Dynasty halfway there. The Knights of Origo should start trespassing and eventually raid Zandri, but do not worry about it, just make sure you upgrade the Desert Lookout into Tower of Bone on turn 10 so that you have walls there. This will make sure that both Knights of Origo and Rakaph Dynasty will not declare war on you early, but they will still raid the hell out of you.

Dont forget to build the Gold Mine in Khemri and a Mortuary House, upgrade your Charnel Plazas when you have the money.

From here on the world is your oyster. Your best options are to attack Knights of Origo to stop them from permanently raiding you, Numas for the proximity or Rakaph Dynasty to move out west. You could also just B-line for the Books of Nagash that are hiding in the mountain ranges to your south and west. I would however recommend that you wait until you have your second lord ready with a full stack before going on a rampage.
