There are a couple of videos on YouTube that show you how to do this, but I understand that some of you are like me and prefer reading instead. You can easily defeat Eggman without too much trouble. Então, get yourself a snack and a glass of orange juice, and let’s get started.

Primeiro, start by running to the right and get behind Eggman, as you can’t hurt him from the front. Pay attention to his predictable missile attacks, which rarely change their path. When you’re behind him, he’ll shoot 1-2 blue missiles, and these missiles drop on the same side they were fired from. This is important to remember for later in the fight when you only get one. This part is relatively easy.

Eggman will occasionally send a red ‘screen’ with holes for you to fit through. You’ll have enough time to line up with them, and even if you get hit, you won’t instantly lose if you have rings. The biggest threat in this form is when he uses his chainsaw to split the track. Jump and run in the opposite direction while avoiding the glowing bullets. Infelizmente, there’s no special trick for dodging the bullets. If you have extra rings and can afford to go Super for a few seconds, you can do that. Just remember to press both triggers to immediately exit Super mode if you plan to use it to make the boss fight easier.

After hitting Eggman five times, he’ll change into his second form. You should run but not all the way to the edge of the screen so you can hop over obstacles while he swings. When he winds up for a big overhand swing, run to the far right, and he’ll be stunned after destroying a part of the stage. Jump on his head, but don’t fly or glide; apenas pule, and you’ll bounce back.

Depois disso, he’ll turn off gravity and create a minor Bullet Hell. Stay on the far right, and if there are any pillars on the ground, hide behind them to avoid getting hit.

Próximo, he’ll align three lasers to shoot you. There’s a warning period with a glowing line before the laser fires. The warning time is quite generous, and a short hop should suffice. Be careful with the small platforms, and don’t let them trip you up. Amy is particularly good at this part. Try not to jump too high; short hopping is your best friend in this boss fight. Repeat this process until Eggman suddenly goes into desperation mode and moves to the foreground.

Up to this point, I didn’t mention Chaos Abilities, mainly because they don’t reset like Fang’s abilities, and it’s best to save them for this phase. I suggest slowing down time, as Eggman will start moving very quickly while destroying platforms. It can get chaotic, and I find that slowing time and using the Avatar ability immediately afterward is ideal and guarantees a kill. If you’re feeling daring and still have rings, you can try to bump him as Super Sonic, but I don’t recommend it because the collision detection is tricky in this fight. This is also why I don’t suggest using the Bullet ability.
