A (temporary) solution for people who are unable to select/equip emotes. I’ve seen way too many people (including myself) have this issue, but this was a quick fix and made me feel stupid once I did it.
The Solution
Simply click further away from the selection area.
Note the cursor location in accordance to the emote selection area.
