The developer of PinBuilder has released a new update for the game on April 5, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam.

New Features

  • Added new silicone rubber option for playfield components with rubber. Select it in the variant. We’ll expand this to other plastics types soon.
  • Added a new room, Shining.
  • Added a new Logic Controller type, “Reset.” This will reset all the controller’s targets and if the targets are other Logic Controllers will reset their targets as well.
  • Added magnet power option. Use carefully, settings over 8 may cause unexpected results!

Improvements

  • Reimplemented flipper tuner option and refined it. This is used to control flip speed (up), as a tweak for flipper english, and can be thought of as a flip speed modifier. Usage example: a low setting of .02 will cause the flipper to move upward very slowly. A setting of 22 will cause it to flip up to the full extent almost immediately. Choosing an appropriate setting will allow players to use flipper tap english to control the full flip extent of the flipper just as can be done with real flippers, allowing for shorter flipper strokes. This technique is helpful when passing the ball from one flipper to another, for example. Your existing flippers may need to be adjusted.
  • Improved lighting in Edit Mode. Transparent colors now look as they do in Play Mode.
  • Updated flipper power option.
  • Build sounds on/off setting now functions for all build sounds.

Fixes

  • Fixed unwanted collision when initially spawning inserts.
  • Fixed bug with sequential logic option, which was ignoring the first item after being reset.
  • Fixed Logic Controller CPU collapse/expand. CPUs now show the group name of collapsed controllers.
  • Fixed Logic Controller chip appearance delay.
  • Fixed outlines on Logic Controllers when they are selected.
  • Increased shininess of inserts.
  • Fixed right flipper rubber bounciness.
  • Fixed Diverter Wire logic control problem. They now work independently as they should.
  • Fixed metal ramp not spawning correct default (short, straight) mesh.
  • Removed rogue polygon in deflector plate (metal post variant).
  • Removed extra “l” in Ball Weight setting.

Notes

  • Magnet initial state must be set using a Logic Controller set to Fire At Start.
