The only reward you get for finishing the Pacific Drive story is tucked away right before you leave! Just a heads up, this guide spills some game secrets, so proceed with caution if you want to avoid spoilers.

How to Unlock the Secret Ending Reward

After you finish the walking part, the car will be waiting for you. Take a look behind it:

The Shocked Tourists are the lock… a gun is the key!

Personally, I like using the Flare Gun as a firearm for that extra satisfaction. Being from Texas, I’m ready for anything the anomalies of the PNW throw at me. But feel free to trigger the nearest tourist however you see fit.

Just a heads up, there’s a chance the chain reaction might fizzle out prematurely if one of the dominoes doesn’t cooperate. If that happens, you’ll need to shoot the weak link in the chain yourself from a distance to ensure there are no survivors.

So, it’s a good idea to carry two guns, just to be safe!

Once you’re the last one standing, a god-tier engine will drop from the heavens:

It has double the power, half the fuel, 840 HP, and 30% resistance to impacts and explosions but suffers triple piercing damage, so watch out for spikes because it can’t be repaired!

As you can see, the final reward that almost slipped away at the bottom of the Well is a high-tech engine that’s a perfect fit for your favorite ride, which probably still has its original stock engine.

So why are we still here? Just to suffer?

Discovering that the real reward wasn’t the lackluster plot but the freedom it brought, along with the one genuine friend you made along the journey, is quite the revelation!

Alright, let’s break down this magic engine business, shall we?

So, what exactly is horsepower? I mean, let’s be real here, a car isn’t a horse (obviously, like, come on). So, what’s the deal? What’s the dealio?

Here’s the scoop: adding a magic engine can give you an extra 15-20mph when cruising and seriously amp up your acceleration game. But, here’s the kicker, it’ll chop your effective fuel capacity in half.

Now, you could combat the low miles per gallon by lugging around some big ol’ fuel cans, but that just eats into your storage space. Another option is sacrificing a seat rack for an extra gas tank, but honestly, that seems like a steep price to pay (plus, it’s gonna make your car smell funky).

Seems like the real benefit here isn’t necessarily the top speed boost, but rather the ability to ditch the Nitro Boost in certain situations where you need quick acceleration, like when you wanna peel out fast.

Conclusion

For an added boost, try using red paint and flames decals on your vehicle. This combo can crank up your cruising speed to a cool 69 mph!
