This guide will show you some of the best and effective ways on how to beat all bosses in OXTO.

Inbreed Basilisk

The Basilisk is the very first boss you’ll encounter, and it’s probably the easiest one. Here are some general tips to help you beat it more easily.

Best Weapon

If you’re sure about your accuracy,

Tips

  • Shoot the boss until it’s down and stay close to it.
  • The head is its weak spot, so shoot there if you’re in a hurry. Otherwise, shoot its body.
  • Keep your distance when it starts attacking to dodge the lasers.
  • Watch out for the RPG attack; it’s the most dangerous move.

Look at the picture when it’s in its Ouroboros phase to start shooting it a lot:

Laser shooting proximity

The Legionary

This might be your second or third boss, and this one is a bit trickier. To defeat it, you’ll need patience and consistency.

Best weapon

I don’t know why, but this SMG is one of the most powerful ones in its category when it comes to damage.

Alternative

Tips

  • Wherever the spear lands, stay close to its side. Once it sticks to the wall, it will shoot bullets until it runs out of ammo, and then it will self-destruct.
  • Avoid shooting the boss too much. If you shoot too much, he will raise his shield, which can deflect bullets and damage you.
  • Roll away when he starts using his sword. You’ll notice this after he has thrown his spear; the follow-up attack involves his swords.
  • Be ready for the minigun attack. If you haven’t defeated him for a while, he might start using his shield to reveal a minigun. You’ll need to dodge around to avoid getting hit.

The Abhorrence

This boss usually appears as the third boss and is a bit easier than the Legionary.

Best Weapon

The best weapon for this boss is one with lots of ammo and a faster reload time.

Alternative

Tips

  • Avoid the bouncing balls; they explode when you collide with them, so be careful.
  • Eliminate the hatched lizards. Leaving them alive can be dangerous since they have a high dodge chance.
  • Stay near the edge and dodge roll when the boss starts forming into a ball. It will shoot spikes that cover a large area.
  • Keep shooting it continuously. Unlike the Legionary, this boss doesn’t have anything to protect itself, so shoot as much as you can.
  • Stick close to its tail. It has a machine gun-type attack, but the bullets don’t home in on you, so you can stay behind it to avoid most of its attacks.

Senior Grand Botanist

This boss is typically your second or fourth encounter, and you’ll need accuracy to beat it.

Best Weapon

The damage output is high, which can help you defeat it relatively quickly.

Alternative

Tips

  • Stick to one side during the fight, as most of the machine gun attacks can be easily dodged with a roll.
  • Prioritize taking out the sentries. If you leave them active, they will keep shooting at you, and unlike the Legionary’s spear, they don’t run out of ammo. So, focus on shooting them down.
  • Keep moving to different areas when the boss starts spawning drones. The drones can be a significant problem since they often home in on you and explode. Moving around can help you avoid their attacks.

Drone Attack

Mr Manslaughter

You’ll typically encounter this boss around the 4th to 5th stage, and it’s somewhat easier than the Botanist.

Best Weapon

To beat this boss, you’ll need a gun with a fast fire rate and decent reload time because, like the Basilisk, it has a large hitbox.

Tips

  • Stay moderately close to the boss. Unlike the Botanist, this one tends to try to corner you or stick to the map’s edges, so maintain a moderate distance.
  • Use dodge roll frequently. This boss primarily shoots and doesn’t spawn significant enemies, so rolling and shooting is the key to success.
  • Beware of the acid; it’s the main threat in this fight. The acid creates area denial, so remember to stick moderately close to the boss to avoid getting caught in it.
  • Circle around the boss. Moving around a lot can make it harder for the boss to hit you with its attacks.

Acid attack you need to avoid

Ehiztaria

This boss is tougher than The Legionary as it attacks continuously without pauses, but the good news is that it doesn’t have a shield like The Legion, so you don’t need to worry about bullets being deflected.

Best Weapon

Use a gun with a large ammo capacity to maximize the damage you can deal to him.

Alternative

Tips

  • Circle around the boss. Unlike other bosses, you can dodge most of his attacks by circling around him. He doesn’t have a spinning attack like The Botanist or area attack like The Abhorrence, and his attacks don’t cover the entire map like Deabrua, so you have space to maneuver.
  • Keep your eyes on him. Like Deabrua, he can teleport, but your main concern is his shadow clone. The shadow clone doesn’t take damage, so it becomes a race to see who can defeat the other faster.
  • Pay attention to the sword. You can predict the boss’s attacks by watching his sword.
  • Position yourself in a way that allows you to shoot both the shadow clone and the actual boss effectively. If you line them up, you can target the main boss and closely monitor the shadow clone since they are side by side.

Keeping the boss and the shadow clone lined up is a smart strategy to effectively keep an eye on both of them during the fight. This way, you can target the main boss and closely monitor the shadow clone since they are positioned side by side.

Deabrua

Facing this boss, which is likely the most challenging, can be likened to a combination of Abhorrence and Ehiztaria. To defeat him, you’ll need to be well-equipped or have luck on your side.

Best Weapon

Miracle weapons are your best bet to beat this boss, as most LMGs have a slow reload time, and ARs have good damage but a low ammo count, which means you’ll be constantly reloading.

Alternative

Assuming you have the right drinks to back it up, here’s a good weapon against this boss.

Best Drink

You can compensate for the lack of weapons by using specific drinks. Based on experience, here are some drinks that can help:

Drop On: You need to be close to the boss to deal the damage.

Technomancer: It’s the only companion in the game that can assist you in boss fights.

The Wanderer: This drink activates only in focus, but it provides extra firepower when needed.

Mass Accelerator: This drink requires some distance to deliver significant damage.

Fidelity: It’s better than Black Market, as you would need an additional perk to get value from Black Market.

Halo: Assurance also helps to avoid some of the damage the boss is likely to inflict.

Bullet Prince: This is the best drink for this boss, as you don’t need to reload, and you can keep shooting continuously.

Tips

  • Remember to keep a close eye on the boss. His attacks are more unpredictable than other bosses, and teleportation is involved, so always watch him.
  • Use focus when he starts the rapid-fire attack, which is the most devastating in his arsenal. Dodge and shoot during this phase.
  • Try to stay beside the boss. Instead of circling around him, it’s better to stick to his side.
  • Think of him as the Legion’s spear, but he teleports and shoots other things.
  • Good luck, as his shooting attacks are more devastating than most enemies you’ve encountered.

Arms Together = Floor trap

One arm stretched = Shooting Attack

Red Mask

People consider this character as a boss, and I’ll include him here. He’s the one who will try to prevent you from reaching the heart of the mansion.

Tips

  • Just shoot him
  • Kick him to add insult to injury

Dead Meat

The Heart of The Mansion

In the first phase of the final boss, it’s relatively easy to defeat, but you need to be quick to avoid premature death.

Best Weapon

This gun has the highest fire rate among all weapon classes combined, so grab it early on if it doesn’t spawn in the “choose your weapon” section.

Alternative

All you need is a gun with a fast fire rate and a large ammo capacity.

Tips

  • When you enter the room, you must shoot it to start the battle, so be absolutely ready.
  • Pay close attention to the turrets at the top side of the heart; they are your primary concern as they shoot acid and regular bullets.
  • Once the boss reaches half of its health, it will start shooting lasers, so position yourself properly to avoid them.
  • Keep firing continuously; you need to defeat it quickly to avoid the complications of dying during the fight.

Upcoming Laser Attack

The Forsaken Heart

In the second phase of the boss, it might remind you of Project Touhou, and if you’ve played that, it could be easier for you. However, here are some tips to help you survive and beat it:

There are no more weapon suggestions since whatever you bought in the first phase will still be used for this one.

Tips

  • Move in a circular motion; your main concern is the eyes, which rotate around the heart. You need to move consistently to be able to shoot them consistently.
  • Dodge roll any attack it does. Most of its attacks can be evaded by dodge rolling.
  • Keep shooting at it; your objective is to eliminate that thing as quickly as possible. So, once you exit a dodge roll, continue shooting.
  • Don’t stick too close to it. Unlike the first phase, the eyeballs can launch a pincer attack on you. Instead, stay close to the heart and maintain some distance.
