Not For Broadcast The Uprising Segment 1 Guide

A guide on how to be please Alan during the first segment of “The Uprising” in Not For Broadcast. Note that this guide may contain spoilers of the game. Continue reading at your own risk.

Introduction

So as mentioned above this guide is to help you make your Ever popular Disrupt spokesmen proud during the first Segment of “The Uprising”.

A key thing to note here is that according to my experience and a couple of people in the discord, the sound cue for Alan telling you how well you did always ends with “That didn’t go so well.. Alex”.

I am not sure if this is just a bug on my end or an error in the game, but because of this, I will be using Boseman’s comments on your performance during the “An Important Review” bit, directly after the broadcast.

The Eulogy

The Eulogy starts as Boseman informs you that the footage that you’re about to show for Peter’s memorial day is not cut, So your gonna have to edit it on the Fly.

In this bit, you have two choices in editing:

• either edit in favor of Advance, making Peter look good.
• or in favor of your boy Alan, making Peter look horrible.

It is advised that you have this section open on a phone near your screen, to better follow this guide

• One thing to note is that the game always hints at you to switch with a Pause in dialogue, So be ready to switch whenever you notice it

Starting from “Not Patrick” at Camera 3 cut to Julia for a reaction shot when they say her name then back at 3 until Julia starts talking on 4. Then stay on 4, using 3 during speech gaps.

• First, cut to 2 for yawning and tired Peter,
• Then 1 for Peter yelling at reporters, wait for Pause then 2 for black and white carpenter Peter, switch to 1 when he looks angrily at the camera.
• Switch to Not Patrick or 2, then 1 for a coffee spit shot.
• Cut to 2 for Peter hitting hand with a hammer, then 1.
• Stay on 1 or on 3/4 for reaction until sleeping Peter at 2.
• Use Not Patrick then Cut to 1 for the trip and a shot of the show “Petey”.
• When Not Patrick, says “viewers”, Switch to Julia for reaction.
• Now 2 till she says “Stolen dinners..”, Switch to Julia for reaction.
• Now 1 and Switch to Julia at “But…”
• Now 2 again. Switch to 1 at “talents..” and Stay till “Untied territories…”
• Cut to Not Patrick at V-sign, then stay on 1.
• Immediately Cut to 2 when you see Black and white Peter again, Stay till “F-Bombs alone…”
• Use Julia/4 for reaction and then 1.
• Switch to 2 for the punch and then 1, Stay till “Life lived for others…”
• Use Julia/4 for reaction and then 2, Stay on 2 or Not Patrick till “Alcohol abuse…”
• Switch to Julia/4 at “I first met Peter…”, then 1
• Switch back to Julia/4 at “Young.. Nervous”, then 2 immediately
• Use Julia/4 for reaction and then 1, Stay till “insisted I took them…”
• back to Julia at 4 and then 2, For drinking Peter.
• Immediately switch when to 4 when Julia says “Brilliant thinker…”
  from that reaction cut to either 1 or 2.
• Switchback to Julia at “But mostly..” then 1 to End the eulogy footage, and Switchback to Julia at yellow.

The Bombing

During the Bombing, you start at a shot of Julia at Camera 4, just as she’s about to count down the opening to the memorial park a loud bang is heard as Camera 3 and 4 cut out, Starting your decision.

In this, you get to make the same choice to either show in favor of Advance or Disrupt. The Bombing itself is quite easy as you only have to make sure to Not show Julia at all throughout it. Except for the very end as you have to avoid showing the gunned down protesters getting medical attention from CCO’s.

Conclusion

All in all bugged Alan James or not.
