No Man’s Sky – Nanites and Units Farming Guide

Unit Farming

This one is a little harder than Nanite or Quicksilver farming believe it or not.

It’s still a pretty easy method but it requires either grinding or having good dog fighting skills. The way I find easiest, is going to the Nexus in the Anomaly, and accepting missions like fighting of pirates, or taking on hungering tendrils. I’ll explain the required equipment for these tasks (The missions could be Nanite missions, so choose the right ones).

Taking on pirates and hungering tendrils is seriously easy, if you know what you’re doing.

For taking on pirates, you’ll probably need:

– Infra-Knife Accelorator

– Phase Beam

– Raketten (Optioneel)

Now getting X/S rank upgrades is a must (The Rockets with their B tier upgrade is fine). Without these you won’t be capable of killing the pirates. The Photon Cannon is just garbage (IMO), but unfortunately, it’s an ‘un-dismantleable’ weapon on the ship and you just have to skip past it on the weapon wheel.

KEEP IN MIND, your shield will most likely be depleted within seconds without upgrades, so always keep your Phase Beam ready. The Infra-Knife melts shield and health, but once their shield is down just finish them off with a Rocket.

For taking on hungering tendrils, you’ll probably need:

– Blaze Javelin

– Advanced Shield Upgrades (Strength Specifically)

Now when I say probably, I mean you need these for the hungering tendrils. You can try Bolt-Caster or Scatter Blaster, but Blaze Javelin is the easiest way, and without good shield, you will 100%, without a doubt in my mind, sterven. Now with blaze Javelin you’ll probably need a bit of carbon as back-up fuel when you run out. Charge it up to max, and shoot. It’s that simple, not much to it.

Trading in all the extra goods is for some extra cash.

Nanite Farming

This is probably the easiest one. Just complete (Nanite) missions at the Nexus in the Anomaly. You’ll most likely get Nanites while completing the missions anyway. Just make sure you scan practically everything on the planet so you can transmit data to Helios. You can also refine the Goops to get Runaway Mold, refine the Runaway Mold to get Nanite Clusters, but this is extremely slow, and doesn’t profit much. Raiding infested buildings is another good way. Refine Larval Cores to get Nanite Clusters, on the contrary to the previous method, this is extremely quick and easy with the right equipment (Scatter Blaster & Shield Upgrades). Now I say with the right equipment, but you don’t ‘require’ Het. If you can hop down, get the cores and get back up onto the building, you should be fine. But killing the monstrosities and grabbing the cores is the fastest method for getting the cores.
