It Comes In Waves – All Specimen Growth Locations Guide

This page will show you where you can find all specimen growth across the map of It Comes In Waves.

Invoering

To finish “It Comes In Waves,” you’ll need to do two things. Eerst, you have to carry a special thing to a place called the Sanctuary Gates. Sounds pretty simple, rechts? But wait, there’s a twist! Before you can go through those Gates, that special thing needs to become fully grown. To make it grow faster, you’ll need to find some glowing green potions. These potions will make it grow 10% sneller. Without them, it’ll still grow, but it’ll be super slow.

Nu, here’s the important part: don’t even think about taking a shortcut straight through Ossuary Canyon. By the time you reach the Gates, that special thing won’t have grown enough. And here’s the tough part: if you die in the game, whether it’s because of dangerous places or bad guys, you have to start all over again. No saves allowed! Dus, try to finish the game in one go, and it usually takes about 30-45 minutes to do it all. Succes!

Map Overview

Because the map doesn’t show where you are except for the start, the places I mention are kind of close, but not exact. I’ll also number the potions based on which one you’ll find first or should find first from the start. You might not have to get them all to finish the game because it still grows slowly. But if you want to finish the game faster, you’ll need to collect more of them.

Locaties

Necrotic Quarry: Turn around from the starting point and go into the area with the giant skeletons. Look inside one of them, near a skull where you can see the Sanctuary Gates. That’s where you’ll find the first potion.

The Hatch: This one’s in a small village with raiders.

Small Hill Overlooking Dry Trees: From potion 2, cross the map to the other side of the valley. There might be two small villages here with guns and water. Near the second small village, which has two rib bones as their gate, you’ll find this potion on top of a hill, almost directly across from the opening to Scrapyard Haven.

Scrapyard Haven: This potion is right at the very edge of the scrapyard.

Eternal Emberwood: Look under the burning tree.

Red Veil Falls: You’ll find this one by the very edge, near the blood river. Wees voorzichtig, there are lots of enemies here, but they’re not too tough.

Edge of a Cliff Overlooking River of Gore: Go past the Great Skull and reach the final cliff overlooking the river. You’ll find the last potion there. For location reference, the Red Veil Falls giant statue is visible in the top left corner of the image.

Conclusie

Dus, there you go! Collecting all 7 potions will make your specimen grow a total of 70% sneller. De overige 30% will probably accumulate slowly as you move from one location to another. You might not need to collect them all if you spend more time exploring. In my first run, I missed 2 and still reached 100% growth, although I didn’t finish the game because I ran out of water.
