The developer of Island Master has released a new update for the game on April 22, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam.
Added:
Added a town hall building that will trigger a game over if destroyed.
Added a range indicator to the guard tower.
Added attack particles to battle buildings.
Added difficulty settings that affect resource gain, resource consumption, enemy stats, and settlement demands.
Added spikes.
Added more island names.
Added more splash texts.
Buildings will now display a red icon if you have too few people for the building to function. The icon will be yellow if you have people working there but the building isn’t running at full efficiency.
Enemy attack damage now scales with how many days have passed.
Bug Fixes:
Substantial performance improvements.
Fixed a bug where day counts and attacks wouldn’t trigger at midnight.
Fixed a bug where buildings wouldn’t repair at noon.
Buildings can’t take damage until placed now.
Fixed a bug with bridge placement where its y level would be off. (may break old saves)
Improved AI pathing over bridges.
The trade post will now not work if you don’t have a population of at least one.
The nuke command now kills off enemies and removes citizens as well.
Fixed glitches where saving the game right when the game loaded would cause resource counts to not save properly.
AI tweaks have been made to the enemies regarding how they prioritize and pick targets.
Very minor tweaks to the citizen’s AI.
