The developer of Hotdog Kitchen has released a new update for the game on April 8, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam.
Nobody seemed to really care for who was on top of the global leaderboard, so we made some changes that will inflate everybody’s scores, as well as make it easier to play the game predictably without your meat flying out of the jar all wimbly bimbly.
Balance Changes
- Larger meats are now heavier meats, so they do a better job of staying in the jar and not pushing everything around
- When meats merge, they now award extra points equal to half of the Pepperoni Equivalent (PPE) value of the new meat.
- Merge streak milestones (G-G-G-Glizzy, Overglizzy, Glizzymanjaro) now each award 16 points when reached.
Other Changes
- To pump people up and make them excited, I animated the score a little bit. I didn’t do a great job of it, but hopefully it gets some people juicing.
